Never been so disinterested in an AC title. The setting is just so meh.
What in blazes are you going on about man. The Eqypt setting is PERFECT. Especially for longtime Assassin's Creed fans interested in the First Civilization story arch. Of course I know you would prefer a Sons of Anarchy setting, but that just won't fit AC. lol

i honestly like the japanese/western concepts hinted at in black flag tbh. Egypt doesn't interest me in the slightest.

Egypt is the best setting. Because it was in Egypt in the first millennium AD that started the formation of the Hashashin, the secret clan that inspired the entire Assasin's Creed series.
