A new demo of Vanquish was released today in Japan and DjMizuhara obviously did not lose any time. Here is the video footage he captured a bit earlier, a good chance to discover a much tougher difficulty setting for hardcore players.
This game shows how you can take (or copy some would say) a great game/mechanic (in this case Gears of War) and not be labeled as "piece of crap clone". If Gears has a slow paced, serious tone, Vanquish seems to be its mirror version, fast and exagerated/over-the-top.
A win-win case for me. :)
Nothing wrong with Gears cover system to begin with, and no i don't agree that Uncharted improved on it 100%. It's a fine cover system in that game, but IMO does nothing better than Gears.
