NFS Hot Pursuit: Auto Log #2

NFS Hot Pursuit: Auto Log #2

Electronic Arts released this second Auto Log of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, showing this time a race type and some environments much closed to what you'd expect from the Need for Speed games of old.

visually the track was a little basic, but the frame-rate was really smooth almost in burnout levels.

No slo-mo moments to taking me out of gameplay? Hells yhea.

ZZZzzzzz

ive made my peace with these types of racing games. If ppl like em, fine.

I still dont understand why it feels like the people behind the NFS games, have never driven a fast car. Theres room for these games cos alot of ppl like em but i wish someone would resurrect the NFS brand as a god damn awesome "almost simulator" racing game.

Personally i dont want another simulation game. I want an easy to handle but fast and fun arcade racing game. Good garphic with great sense of speed. And NFS never was a simulation game, not even the porsche one. This and dirt 3 will satisfy my racing game needs.

!!!!!!!!! Does anyone else think that the music is remixed from the original Hot Pursuit music? Or is this just wishful thinking on my part? That was one of my favourite games ever.

I was actually thinking of Burnout the whole time while watching. I still wonder, though, how it would play with a steering wheel.

first: it seems like Outrun :) ..second: Lambo 560-4 is 4WD, it can't do a burnout like that!!!

Looks better than Vanquish!!
Wtf? They are both games in entirely different genre's. It makes absolutely no sense to compare them to eachother! You are right though...

Ok, I'll stop now..

It doesn't look that good

As long as there's a wide open road and fast action I'll be satisfied. No need for sim in this type of racing. Would be a good choice for people who find Forza boring.

Tinks Not to mention Boston is a small, easily navigable, clean city, awesome train/public transportation too. Babes aren't in short supply with all the schools too :D (1 Hour ago)

Tinks It's a good place to be for that. A lot of indie companies and big names. Irrational, Harmonix, 2K, etc. Doesn't hurt that Penny Arcade has their expo here every year either (1 Hour ago)

Frozpot @Tinks: For me, my big take-away was software familiarity. BA in Media Arts and Animation. I'm actually moving to Boston to try and get in the gaming industry. Better late than never!! (1 Hour ago)

Tinks Indeed. The most important aspect of school for art students is the community. Artists need a community to feed off of and grow from. They also need those people to get jobs, show in galleries, etc (1 Hour ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks It's just like any other school really. It's what you make of it as a person. Dick around and see how far you get after you graduate. And like most majors you can get a job without the college degree. (1 Hour ago)
