Video PC Xbox 360 PS3

Again, I know we are running a bit late late but here are a bunch of videos of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. The game offers a great variety of landscapes and cars and with all the footage we have in store for you, I hope you will find something to your liking. The progression in the game reminds of the old days with the likes of Need for Speed and Burnout. As a result, you will not be given total freedom during the races (a free ride mode is available though), but instead, expect to have some thrills! With weather changes and events taking place at different times of day, it is very difficult to get bored when playing Criterion's latest title. What's more, the wall system is rather addictive as it is always very motivating to be informed about your friends' performances in the game. If you like arcade racers, then you should definitely not hesitate. More videos to come if you are nice.
Update 2: One last video added.

they should have just made this on-line only, and allowed betting and spectator mode, free roam is waste of time and boring, why people cant join your free roam world is lame, but loved the cop chasing and racing against the cops, definitely fun, would been even better if had customisation for the cars..:)

that last take down in the cops video was kick ass! Damn, that car was flown off the road. Seems this game isn't half bad.

if the game handled better/more responsively, and if it had split screen i'd have probably bought it almost as a burnout replacement (prefer track based racing rather then the open world approach of paradise) too many devs are skimping out on split screen in racers in favour of online. it's a shame, because split screen in racers is a necessity for me.

Is anybody having issues with the way the cars control? I can't enjoy this game as I was hoping for a tighter control of the cars. Perhaps just as good as burnout was. Controlling the cars in NFS feels like a jetski plowing through the open sea!

Burnout is great game so I don't know what issues you had, and I just mean if they were going to have free roam in huge open world but not have anything going on in it, not even cop chases in free roam, then they should have made it more online base game with betting / spectator mode ect, I don't see the point of huge empty world and nothing going on in it, just shame they could have done some cool stuff with NFS HP

anyway Midnight club LA is still the best racer out there followed with Burnout P

The car handling feels like you're driving a tank in this game, and the frame rare is just too low for a racing game. 60fps or nothing, simple as that.

Park your car alongside the road, move the camera towards the front side of the car and than turn the steering wheel from one side to the other. See how long that shit takes! That pretty indicative to how the cars handle in this game. Simple as that!

Well, I must be extraordinarily skilled then, since I am having no problems at all controlling the cars. Simple as that?

Your flat out wrong. First of all this game runs at 60 fps, secondly the cars handle differently based on the characteristics of each individual car.

Not on consoles no. It is 30 fps, but no drops, which is a relief. And I know no other racing games on consoles that offer an open environment (the races themselves are not in an open environment but the game world is still one anyway) and 60 fps.

Oh ok. I'm playing it on my PC and its running at least at 60. I figured the consoles were too from the footage I saw of the console versions. My bad.

burnout paradise. which is all the more confusing why criterion, the guys who made BOTH, didnt manage 60fps in NFS even when they hve an engine capable of such things. makes no sense.

Indeed. Burnout P was ~60fps on ps3/360 and was open world. How did Criterion manage to alter the handling so much between this. I'm in the camp that views NFS:HP's handling as poor. Burnout P had the perfect balance. But I appreciate that others do prefer this handling.

If the game works for you than that's good bro. It's just that for me even Most Wanted feel a lot more responsive qua handling. I really gave this game its due chance to be loved or liked but eventually I had to return it and quench my thirst elsewhere.

I bought the game yesterday. Although it's fun and i'm happy to have bought it, the cars are indeed quite floaty. Not all of them though, but some feel more like boats on water then cars on the road.
