The ink of the contract that now ties Tecmo to Koei isn't dry yet, but the japanese studio released a big bunch of screenshot of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 anyway. In these seventeen images, we (re)discover the main characters of the game in fierce situations. Above, Ryu Hayabuza about to perform a karate kick on a dragon.

I'm still stuck at the final boss in the 360 version...maybe i'll be able to complete this one, if there's an "ultranoob mode", who knows? Lol.

Anyway, these screens, dunno why, reminds me of Gantz

Saw these yesterday, I LOVE Momiji!

One of TN best female character designs along side Elizabet that isnt so slutty dressed, and is normal.

I didn't like her Naginata, but watching her gameplay on gamespotmade me love it, she is fast with that thingwhich is good, and its a unique weapon for sure.

Too bad the player didn't use ninpo, really wanted to see what it was, but judging from the one screen, it seems to be fire element.

But Hayashi has truly added quite alot of new content (even those ninja demons) to make my purchase even more worthy :D
Momiji is definitely my main highlight for NGS2 in terms of new character and gameplay.

PS. the kid is SANJI, from NG DS.

September/October can't come soon enough!

Actually the visuals are quite better than NG2 considering NGS2 is 720p and NG2 was around 500-600.

The textures are sharper too because its not sub-par resolution like NG2 was.

Sore much? As a hardcore Team Ninja nut all I can see is pure awesomeness. I've still gotta get around to ebaying my copy of NG2. This looks like an even better update than the original Sigma

One thing i loved about ng2 was the insane amount of blood that was in it, this looks like a censored version of ng2, I'll probably buy it for the extras but still... i also hope that a more stable frame rate is implemented.

NG2 was not 720p? I didn't know that.

Still, looks practically the same. No night and day, nothing substantial, but it DOES look better.

The huge amount of blood will be missed, but with so much new content its easily forgettable, atleast for me anyways.

LEBATO

Yes, NG2 was not 720p, it was 589p. But Hayashi said that NGS2 will be 720p native with a upgraded Sigma engine, and it does look better than NG2.

At London, Tecmo confirmed that NGS2 demo will arrive in September on PSN with a official release date and more info in "late july".
My guess is the game might come out late September or early October...too far away, but its atleast not in November or December which is nice.

There wont be hordes of enemies coming at you this time around spamming with explosives. I am happy about that because the screen really got ugly and I could barely see a damn thing with so much explosions.

They seem tohave reduced how many enemies coming at you at the same time, however they have balanced the enemy designs out depending on what difficulty you are on.

About the story, its a simple revenge/demon story its enough to make you go out and kill enemies, atleast for me.

You gotta also know that TN pretty much always release bullshots, but from the "bullshots" of NG2 and NGS2, NGS2 looks better.

And if I remember right, they said they would fix the camera for NGB and NGS and NG2...they always try to find ways to fix the camera.
These type of titles and camera angles are hard to make good.

But the camera center buttonis your friend, if you know how to use it, then its not a problem.

My problem with the camera was that when hordes of explosive spamming enemies was coming in tight corridors you had to move alot then the camera would struggle, or even offscreen projectiles.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this, NG is one of my favourite all time games. I finished the first on Master Ninja and Black and Sigma on Very Hard, NG2 however I never completed. It just didn't feel right to me, too much enemy spamming and cheap attacks. This looks much more like it, I can live without the gore as long as the game plays better this time. I might give NG2 another chance in the meantime.

Yup, and even then it was pretty screwed technically. Lots of slowdown, especially on the harder difficulty (so I've read).

I've never finished it, because every time it did an awesome, this is brilliant and just like Black. It followed it up with a moronic move, like the Water Dragon, Golum or Bone Dinosaur. If they can fix the completely broken sections of the game, I may buy a PS3 and this game.

source? ... yhea. full of shit as expected.

It's funny how the ninja dog team is more worried to sell the game to other audience with new cover of stuff, than showing they fixed the problems.

We'll see.

Fixed problems will only be justified once someone plays the full retail game, not from a few minutes of footages or just showing off extra content considering we don't know how old a footage is.
They are fixing and polishing the game everyday.

Call me nitpicky, but I can't stand how they have no facial expressions at all.
I know you'll barely notice it when playing, but pic 11 for example looks pretty weird due to her "cool" expression...

However I am glad to see that they finally model nice faces.
Just compare this to Ayane from DOA4...

Why do you people say bullshots, those are not bullshots, those are direct feed shots from the game running at 720p.

do you know what bulltshot mean ?

look at the link i posted, left bullshot and right direct shot.

bullshots mostly take away and remove details from the shot,

http://cache.kotaku.com/assets/resources/2008/01/a...

so those NGS2 shots are not bullshots. there is a software that uses to make game shots.

Only let down is the way Ayane looks (as I don't know how Momiji is supposed to look I can't judge her, but her face looks pretty odd). Tits are way too big and clothing way too revealing, I like they way she looked in NG/NGS, that was spot on.

When I mean bullshots I mean no pixelated edges...near perfection.

Maybe I used the wrong word, but you know what I mean, hopefully.

Look at the edges, its like near perfect with no pixelated edges.

Ah good, don't like to confuse people.

After I saw Momiji in NG DS, I wanted her to be in NG2 until Itagaki said Ryu is the only playable one.
So I am very very glad that she is in NGS2 so now she is the "main" character in NGS2 for me because i know what Ryu is capable of.

Too bad the gameplay in gamespot site was short, no footage her double jump or ninpo, would love to see it.

One thing is for sure, NGS2 will have awesome killer music tracks like the previous titles had, I loved the Ayane and Momiji level music :D
