Trailer PS3

You may remember Ninokuni, developped by Level 5 with the support of the famous Studio Ghibli, well the great news is that the game, or at least a game with the same name, will also be released on the PS3! Here is the first trailer, and needless to say it's rather awesome.

The very beginning music in the trailer got the Bionic Commando theme going through my head, and now I can't get it out :(

I have been waiting for a Ghibli game for a long time...this looks incredible...a fair margin more impressive than WKC

Been burnt by Level 5 so many times, so will keep a curious & cautious eye on this.

Graphics and art style aren't anything special really, although charming enough.

Battle system is a bit hmmm, I duno odd looking.

I really dislike Level-5 pretencious bullcrap, but they can't seem to catch a break lattely with their mediocre games on PS3, with the saving grace of milking Layton (fake adventure) puzzle games on DS, wich everyone seems to leve and sell like hotcakes.
Hope this is good for a change.

yeah i'm with you there. Jrpg's i just dont see the appeal with - hopefully the battlesystems more streamlined in this..may not even be turn based.

This looks beautiful though, and you're garenteed to see something memorable.

Looks to be like Level 5's previous efforts, control the main character whilst AI controls the party members, of course no matter how good the battle system is won't change thats its a JRPG, so wouldn't expect anything out of the ordinary.

Wow...got goose bumps watching this trailer !
Music is amazing and atmosphere...when the trailer ended and I read Joe Hisaishi was clear why !

The production value on this one is really high. It's like a Ghibli anime as a game !

Can't wait...hope for an English translation !

You simply have to love the japanese for this stuff. Looks promising.

But why they´re are not able to recreate the same visuals as in the anime. There is no complex lighting at all and the textures are also pretty simple. Same with Naruto games, isn´t it?

It's still rather early in development so they implement a more complex lighting system later on. As for the textures, my guess is that they are just ripping them from Sudio Ghibli assets.

For once one developer had a stroke of common sense and is releasing a game that's well suited for the PS3.

One of the best uses of cell shading I have ever seen.

It's nice to see a game that has a more colourful whimsical art style in a market that currently seems to be dominated by "gritty" realistic First Person Shooters.

If only Okami 2 would be announced for the PS3 and Move, that would be heaven.

a new okami would be awesome. or even a propper "current gen" version of the DS prequel 'okamiden' . i loved the first okami.
