Trailer PS4

Hello Games certainly got some attention during Sony's E3 media briefing with their new gameplay trailer for the promising title No Man's Sky. Today you can get this trailer in high quality here plus another one at 60fps showing a bit more of their incredible work on the game's procedurally generated universe. The studio has not given a release date yet but we sure are keeping both eyes on it.

I simply can't pass an ambitious, refreshing and beautiful game such as this. Looking like something special.

Maybe i'm overly sceptic, but i'm not really feeling the game yet. As everybody else I want this to be good, but i'm kinda surprised how few questions the press are raising against the game. It's obviously a highly ambitious game but the team is quite small. I have a fear that the game will be very shallow with little to no depth. As least that is the vibe I'm getting at the moment. What we are looking at is merely a tech demo still... a pretty tech demo, but still...

Not to be a kill joy, but this looks like a Futuremark tech demo game. I agree with you BooMMooB, but I hope that they deliver an immersive enough experience that takes us by surprise. And being Sony exclusive is a good sign, I doubt Sony will be backing a shallow game exclusively for their system, Sony don't allow the vast shovel-ware that Steam do.

I think my heart just exploded

This game is beautiful and the colors are so refreshing.

Sometimes a game doesn't have to have constant explosions to be something special. IE Flower

Also I hope this music is an example of what's to come in-game

Apparently there is more to the game, the press just isn't doing a great job of talking about that, as they are all glassy eyed over the infinite procedural world that doesn't look like legos.
However, it's a game largely about exploration from what I have heard. It's not supposed to be super deep and complex and full of mechanics.

What? The game launched with a digital title that was just a basic side scrolling shooter. It was an awesome game, but it was pretty shallow.

This looks awesome. Going to be lots of exploration and discoveries I think. You wouldn't even need a mission structure or anything if they do things right.

I'm expecting this do fall short in terms of execution. I love the idea on paper but I just have serious doubts. Also, am I the only one who finds the over saturated color scheme a little tiring?

Looks awesome! I'm just questioning if this whole infinite (variations of) worlds or whatever really serves any purpose! I mean something like this I could really kill for if it were adopted to something similar to spore, a highly underrated game. Just flying around and the odd exploration could really get old, but I like what I see no doubt.

It's so refreshing to see a game like this. It was one of the highlights for E3 for me. I really hope exploration and just letting the players figure out things for themselves is at the core of the game design. The atmosphere of the game also looks great too, and hopefully those planets have a sun to orbit to give night and day on them. It looks hugely ambitious. I can't understand how some could look at it and think it would be boring, yet look at the swath of FPS games and find that more to their taste. Will need more information regarding it's gameplay objectives, though, but I'm really liking the look of it; and as I've said before, it's perfect for Morpheus.

Hopefully there's enough variation in the gameplay to at least make it a fascinating and niche experience. For me, if they get that down, it'll have done it's job, because it is different. I'm tired of the same cut-and-paste designs that games have taken, and they're mostly all trying to be Hollywood blockbusters telling a story and dishing out big set pieces.

As for the colour scheme complaint, I have no issues with that here, so long as they have a variation of looks, that's more important. I think this kind of art design suits it best. I don't think the devs had much of a choice given it's all procedurally generated. They might have been very limited with what they could do artistically, but it still looks great.

Best game of E3 without a doubt for me.

Puts most AAA Publishers to shame.
