Batman: Arkham Origins was released last week on almost every platform and it is finally here on Gamersyde too, with top quality videos of the PC version of the game. This third installment in the franchise created by Rocksteady was developed by Warner Bros. Montreal and it is obviously very similar to the two previous episodes. The Canadian developer didn't want to change the original formula and merely wanted to tell us the story of how Batman truly became the Dark Knight, back when he was still a young vigilante. The major change you're bound to notice is in the voice acting department, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill having being replaced by Roger Craig Smith (Ezio Auditore, Chris Redfield) and Troy Baker (Joel in The Last of Us, Booker DeWitt in BioShock Infinite). Thankfully, they both deliver a strong performance, making the story interesting enough to follow for the fans.
These videos were captured on Miguel's hardware:
- Intel i7 2700K @ 4.7 GHz
- 16 Go DDR3 1600 MHz
- 2x NVidia GTX 680 SLI
Capture software: Mirillis Action!
Game's settings :
- maxed out in DX11
- Physx High
- TXAA High

I would wait for a patch or two before buying.
Some tweaks to the grappling hook, new toys though i havent been able to get my hands on those shocking charged gloves yet.
Better cutscenes, acting, and has the best Batman music in Arkham series yet (Christopher Drake is great!).
Deathstroke is fun, its basically Robin but more stylish and cooler now.
Best batman suit, actual armor and not grey tights :P
Bugs does sounds annoying but what game doesnt have it. Will definitely get it on PC when i can.
PS. Driftwood, you typed "axed out in DX 11", just gonna point it out ;)

Love the PhysX stuff, even if it doesn't change the gameplay :) The music seems a bit heavy-handed at times, and it seems a bit more focused on action as I'm having more trouble playing stealthy than the last 2.
I do like the christmas type music he made, "A night before christmas", quite cool especially when you are roaming in the city on the rooftops.
Loving the game, by the way, not as fress or original as Asylum but way better than City.

And yes, there a hell of a lot of bugs, this even with the v1.02 patch, which I got some really stupid bugs/glitches like the body of the last enemy in a fight moving on its own in a 360º angle for some 10 seconds, one were after defeating Deathstroke and in the gadget screen, pressing the button didn't move forward - had to restart and beat Deathstroke a 2nd time, no stress, since the fight was cool, there were a ton more, like not being able to interrogate an enemy because the prompt to never shows, this happened 3 times.
To me is BAC > BAA --------> BAO, either way it's still a very good game, it is an almost 100% clone of BAC and the story is actually quite good, so there's no way it wouldn't be very good.
