First 10 minutes PC

The Chaos Engine was a big hit in the nineties, like all the games which were developed by the Bitmap Brothers at the time. Beautiful graphics, incredible soundtrack, amazing gameplay, that was what you could read in the reviews at the time. Of course, 20 years later, things change and although the game remains solid in many aspects, it also shows its age despite the - small - makeover. Here are two videos of this new - digital - edition of the game, one being the "HD" remix (which is more like a "we've added a smoothing filter" kind of enhancement= and the other the original pixelated version.

I love the original version (had a play on my A1200 a while ago before the IDE controller popped its clogs) :(

This is just lazy though, and should really be offered for peanuts.

I LOVED the original (briefly worked on the sequel).

This would be better IMO as some "pseudo-2D w/3D characters", but that would be more than a... what do you kids call it? "Cash grab" and more of work.

Still, happy that modern gamers can give this a whirl.

Chaos Engine is a classic!

One of the few games I managed to complete on my A1200. Great atmosphere and amazing music by the now sadly passed away Richard Joseph

Why don't they release it on PS3 and port other Amiga games, it's much better than 99% of indie games with much better music.
