Deadpool is a very strange title. In terms of gameplay mechanics, it is very similar to the Spider-Man games which have been released in the past few years, however it was developed by High Moon Studios, the makers of the - good - Transformers games. The main problem here is that everything is so generic that you never feel like you're playing something new or particularly interesting. Combat is pretty basic and button mashing is efficient most of the time, the gunplay and the camera system are awkward and the platforming sequences are clearly not the game's strongest suit. What's left then? Well, all the main's character crazy humor - which includes a lot of references to pee, poo, cocks and boobies - and Nolan north's impressive performance. This is clearly a game you'll play just to hear the next joke and we're not sure it's enough to make it worth your while. The masked antihero deserved better than a mediocre game, but there is still fun to be found here and for the fans, that's definitely something.
