Any idea what engine this is on? Surprisingly nice looking. The vegetation density and stuff remind me a bit of CryEngine.

They are using their own engine "Avalanche Engine", as in Just Cause games and Mad Max.

But at first sight I thought it was CryEngine too.

I don't know, if it's sort of update of The Hunter game. It was free to download and the stuff You could have was based on micro-transactions. I played it a lot and it was great. This graphical update is beautiful!!! Important note...this is for veeeery patient gamers.

WTF?! How come this game looks so good? It looks better than any game I've ever seen in action and it's not one of the big hitters. Maybe lacks some in image quality but the sheer size and detail of the environments is really awesome.

Probably because it's a relatively simple game where they didn't have to spend a bunch of time/resources on tons of features.

If they added zombies or something (mods?) this could actually be fun to play as a walking dead style survival game. As it is though....snoooore!

There's enough (too much?) zombie games, don't put zombies in every games, it would be a waste to add zombies in this game as the goal is to track/hunt, not being chased and survive.
I hate zombie games and survivals.

I don't like hunting in real life, but I liked playing this beta, it's fun in coop.
