GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

When we tried FIFA 16 at Gamescom, we were disappointed by what seemed to be an absence of real new features. We were wondering when the series would allow for sharp incisive passes and it's finally there! It definitely changes the way you play the game and it's something we had missed in Cologne. There are more new features of course, but that's probably the most likely to be a game changer for us. Check out our 4 videos of the Xbox One version of the demo which was released yesterday.

Thanks for the videos guys. from what I can see there only appears to be very few changes between Fifa 15 and Fifa 16. Do you think its worth paying £50 to 'upgrade' essentially?

Visually you're right, but in terms of gameplay, it's been improved from what I can tell. If you ask me, I don't think Fifa 15 was worth spending the money last year, this one seems more solid. that being said, it's hard to tell you if buying Fifa every year is the best idea. Only you know the answer to that. Try the demo if you can.

having played the demo alot of times it feels totally different ot fifa 15,passing,AI is alot better.
no more tripping over and stupid collisions(in demo anyway).
the shooting is a new learning curve to as shooting is different and when doing through balls it can look amazing if you get it right.
alot slower than 15 i thought but in all alot better game and worth the rebuy because fifa 15 had so many annoying things.

oh and keepers AI seems so sos so much better

Thanks Driftwood & Ramiuk. I skipped 14 and bought 15, and I am currently saving for a house, hence my reservations! I will be sure to download the ps4 demo tonight and get it checked out :)

It's a fairly big improvement over last years, but for me I think that improvement is felt because the previous few Fifa titles were so poor and had a very similar gameplay. This Fifa takes some things out of PES 2015's book, and for that reason, it feels like a poor man's PES 2015, gameplay wise, which was an excellent game. Still, that equates to a good game, and probably the best Fifa game to date. Still, if you want a better representation of the sport, then PES 2016 looks to have it hammered in the gameplay, where it counts.

LOL

In what way is having a game slowed down to a proper pacing of an actual football game, having midfield build up, and lack of chances created pathetic gameplay. It's the other way around. They've changed this game for the better. It's now more realistic as opposed to the 1 billion mph end to end, lofted heat seeking through ball spamfest, basketball style gameplay that Fifa used to have. PES always shit all over it in the past gameplay wise because of that.

Impressive animation, looks really nice in motion. And easy to score (whether that's a plus or a negative is up to you). Faces still look shit. Replays/cutscenes still look like they take a framerate dip. And there's still that same old fifa button delay at times that has players kick away the ball soon as they've won it.

Can't decide which one I like more...Pes player models look better, more distinctive on the pitch. They have more weight to them too. But fifa feels nice, fast, and for the most part responsive enough.

I'll probably just stick with Rocket league for my footie needs though...offers a far greater satisfaction on scoring goals than both Pes and Fifa.

what tv do you play on?
i have always found fifa and shooters imposisble on my normal tv due to input lag yet on my projector i kick ass due to amazing lag input.

@shieeek i take it you are one of these that just sprints round with fastest palyers and no skill?
personally i like to build up play and i think changes in fifa 15 force that more, holding down run in fifa 15 give that burst but cant sprint for too long which is great imo.

@bleached i didnt think it was to easy to score and maybe you had it on too low a difficulty? i play on pro and i find it a good game, online will be the test though for me.

Thanks to BB and their outrageous trade-in and rewards program, I will be picking up FIFA 16 for a few bucks. No brainer there.

But I've already preordered PES 2015 as well.

PS: Lofted through balls still work. I've scored shitloads of goals against legendary AI in both demos. But then again, I am Div 1 material ;P

I've been playing FIFA since '08 and for what I've tried in the demo I can say it's one of the few times I feel pleased with the changes in gameplay. FIFA 15 ball control was AWFUL... remembered me the years when PES was better and FIFA was a mess for the players to put their shit togheter before making a pass or shooting. Goalkeepers look much better as weel. They made ridiculous mistakes in FIFA 15 and I believe penalties aren't as frecuent as in '15.

Gameplay feels very fluid now. It's much more addictive too. I'm definitely buying this one.
