First 10 minutes PC

After the horrible experience that was Ride to Hell Retribution, we really thought we would never be able to recover. Thankfully, a real game has also been released this week and it will stir up a lot of good old memories to some of you. Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded is indeed available on PC (Mac, iOS and Android versions are planned) and guess what, it's not only a thousand times better than Deep Silver's nightmarish title, it's also way cheaper. Al Lowe decided to bring back his iconic character to life in this remake of the series' first adventure. After Guybrush, the most famous loser of the planet is about to be humiliated once again for your sadistic pleasure. It's definitely old school in that you won't get any hints or highlighted objects to guide you, but if you don't mind that, you'll enjoy great 2D graphics and the game's excellent soundtrack. Here are 4 videos to get a taste of Lowe's humor. Enjoy, because we sure did!

My god dude so nostalgic! let me think about what I was using when I played this.. A monochrome x86 4.4mhz system I am sure. I had upgraded to the 486 DX to play space quest 4 I believe and I had a sound blaster to boot or was that the turtle beach general midi. Both were amazing can't think of which came before though.

Did a quick play, and wasn't impressed. I can't point it out, but it just doesn't feel right: playing the old VGA version is good. Larry's idle animation looks weird, and it just feels too contrived. I wish the old team from Larry 7 were back, with the same resources and budget. That was a great game, with great animation - for the time, at least.

I was impressed by this, I helped kickstart it last year and it's the first kickstarted adventure game I'm aware of that has actually been released. Gave me some good chuckles so far in.

So is this a reprogrammed release made to run on current gen PC systems? or is it the old code refit and reexcecuted?
and does Larry ever get any?

From what I can gather it's a complete remake (the original had like CGA graphics so this isn't really too hard to figure out).

I remember playing this game on old IBM PC's when I was a little kid. And it was raunchy :D

The humor is kinda meh tbh. I remember playing the original Lsl on my amiga, but uh...i don't think it's aged especially well, certainly not compared to games like Quest for glory or the Monkey island games. Where Quest for glory is still kinda funny and charming, Larry just seems rather juvenile. But i suppose there are a few laughs in there, and the remake is decent enough. Finished it in one sitting though, so it's not exactly epic in scope. I really miss the text driven interaction as well...pointing and clicking just isn't as much fun as figuring out what commands you need to use to take a shit or bang a crack whore :P

Still, compared to the latest few travesties poor old Larry has had to suffer through, this is a masterpiece.

Akumajou: this is what the original looks like, you figure out the rest. There is even some nudity in the game, if you manage to find it :P
