GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One Xbox 360 PS3

Following our videos of the console versions of Far Cry 4, here are a few PC videos captured in 1080p and 60 frames per second. Note that the game version is 1.0.3 in these videos and suffers from some glitches at times (dark sky in the first three videos and blurry images during fast movements).

Hardware used to capture these videos:
- Intel i7 2700K @ 4.7 GHz
- 16 Go DDR3 1600 MHz
- 2x NVIDIA Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 GAMING 4 GB SLI @ 1480/3750 MHz

I think it was TXAA in all videos except the Town one where it was MSAA4x.

thats unfortunate. even with txaa the vegetation looks like pea soup. so much shimmering. the console versions look much better.

Hmmm my PS4 version and PC Version almost look the same , PC a bit sharper overall but very little , and PC of course 60 FPS with no problem . What i have on PC is the problem that some trees are flat (thin like a paper from the side) ??? WTF is this ?

Man that shadow pop in is absolutely horrible in this game. Other than that the game looks great. I really hope there are tweaks that can be done with things like this, as there normally is with the PC version of many games.

I play some FPS with a controller, mostly solo ones, but I play multiplayer FPS with keyboard and mouse, like BF4, and I may do videos of the Final Stand DLC this weekend.

It seems people prefer twitchy camera over smooth analog input. Just make another video with the highest DPI setting on you're mouse ;D

each to their own, some people are more comfortable playing with a controller while others are more comfortable with a keyboard and mouse, it's just a matter of personal preference!

For SHOWING a game analog input is a must. And most videos GS post are to show games, and not how to 360 no scope a 12 year old.

Seriously, I hate douches who cannot fathom that some people PREFER to play with a controller. Even on a PC. Even a FPS game. And they absolutely MUST comment to show how much they pity people who play on controllers. Scourge of the internet. Why can't you just live and let live?

Thumbstick controls are generally much more pleasing to watch in videos meant to present the game. I can really only advocate mouse control when I'm playing the games myself, not when watching gameplay trailers.

Right, and on PC you at least have that choice.. Some 3rd person games and racing games I also use my Xbox 360 controller, but for most games (incl. FC4) I prefer mouse+keyboard..

so you are judging GS because they played with a controller rather than a keyboard and mouse, again it's down to personal preference which seams to be one thing you have yet to learn!

How i am i judging ? Are you really that dense or do you enjoy reading between the lines. Again for MAKING videos analog input is a must. For gaming, mouse and keyboard out perform a controller(at-least for precision). The rest is indeed a preference.

I'm still playing with the mouse, but this game has awful mouse handling/input, and no amount of "fixes" actually.. fix it.

Developers: please use raw mouse input.. do not attempt your own mouse handling. No one has ever done it better than raw.

This game runs like shit. Regular drops for no reason, and lots of stuttering, even with config tweaks which reduce texture quality.
And TXAA seems to be broken, it practically has no effect on foliage, which is the whole point of it. SMAA does wonders compared to TXAA, which must mean it is some kind of Temporal SMAA.
