GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Just like we feared after playing the game's alpha a few months back and discovering the final version last week, Generation Zero does not live up to its full potential for different reasons, which explains why the reviews have been so harsh. To begin with, the abusive cloning of the houses you regularly search adds to the overall feeling that you're always doing the same thing. Combat can be fun when playing with friends, with machines arriving as back up when you attack one of them, but there isn't enough variety so it gets old pretty quickly. Story is limited to finding a few documents or audio logs and it's clearly not engaging enough to keep moving forward, so in the end you're left with an atmospheric title that lacks the content you'd expect to make it really worth your money. Bugs and glitches are also a problem on top of that, so we advise you to wait and see what Avalanche will do in the new few weeks to improve their game before you consider jumping in. We had fun, but it's objectively not enough to justify a purchase now.

Game plays like some low budget indie game that just entered EA, such a disappointment... Everything feels so clunky, the movement/jumping, you char can't get over basic obstacles.. And shooting lol feels like we went in time like 15 years ago...
