While many of you are probably either waiting for Monster Hunter: World or Dragon Ball FighterZ, you might not be aware that a new Metroidvania indie game is about to be released in a few days. On January 23, Iconoclasts will indeed become available on PC, Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita after 7 years of development. Joakim Sandberg finally completed his work and from the looks of it, it might very well be the first indie hit of 2018. Let's now hope that Xbox One and Switch owners will not be left apart, so more people can get a chance to give it a try. As often, we were able to capture the following footage thanks to gog.com, where you can purchase the game if you prefer a DRM-free experience.

I've had it wishlisted since Oct after reading about it on RPS and its good to see some more of the game. The sole dev has done a good job.
I'll get it sometime in the future, after I've played (some of) the games I already have and it's more affordable...
Talking about possible indie hits of 2018, I suggest the game Apocalypse Cow (if it actually makes it this year).
It's a very impressive looking game - graphics, gameplay, audio. It's super cinematic with full voice acting - in that way it reminds me of titles developed by Zoink Games.
I'm currently playing Robbie Swifthand and the Orb of Mysteries (its still in Early Access) and have had loads of fun with it. I recommend people check it out - the devs have a demo on GameJolt: <4372>https://gamejolt.com/games/RobbieSwifthand/272862.4372> For me the game's definitely a hit! <3 :D \o/
It does suit those with a persevering nature though - don't give up! It's also like a puzzle game in some ways but with high platformer execution required.
Other games I'm looking forward to:
Once Upon a Coma (really enjoyed the demo of this)
Juicy Realm
TSIOQUE
Praey for the Gods
Detective Gallo
Feudal Alloy
Minit
Super Daryl Deluxe
The Last Night
Hopefully, one day Robbie Swifthand will get some limelight in a livestream - it should be fun to watch! :D
No pressure, though. :D
Thanks GSY! o/
Will look into that game of yours when I have a bit of time. Thanks!
