GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One Xbox 360 PS3

Our PS4 copy of Call of Duty; Advanced Warfare finally arrived by the Post last Friday, so we can now propose a bunch of gameplay videos of the game. The first two includes sequences Davton and Miguel have already shown you that you can use to compare both next gen versions, but the others are new and even more spectacular overall. You probably all know that the game runs at 1080p on PS4 but it doesn't come without a few hiccups when it comes to framerate. A few dips happen every now and then, most of which are pretty discrete, but major ones can happen to as what you can see at 4:15 in the first video.

So is the cutscene in-engine render or pure CGI?
The human face is even better than some CGI movies

To me it's pure CGI, but I might be mistaken.

But IMO, some of the human faces in the cutscene are not as detailed as Uncharted 4 which is said to be running in real-time at 60 fps

Only time will tell what this generation is capable of

THX for the HQ videos by the way

This site and ruliweb are always the choices for me to find HQ game videos

It must suck being an optimist. The constant disappointments must be devastating. :P

yea.. if Uncharted 4 actually looks anything like the trailer it's not going to be running at 60fps.

First CoD game I've ever liked is this one. The SP campaign is well done and entertaining, the MP is great except for the lag, and the graphics / art design are good, most other CoDs were average in this regard.

After reading you guys' comments about Advanced Warfare not having dedicated servers, I found it weird and went to read some articles, really hard to believe a CoD game doesn't have dedicated servers. And it seems it won't have in the future as well.

Not sure if the other games in the franchise did the same, but one of the biggest and most profitable entertainment franchises in the world which profits over a billion year after year not having dedicated servers and making players experience lag is ridiculous.

Warframe is a Free to Play game and Digital Extremes, its developer, doesn't have enough money to have dedicated servers, which means 6-7 out of 10 matches players experience lag. This sucks, but outside of Warframe players, almost no one knows who Digital Extremes is.

Activision is widely known and does have an insane amount of money - specially after Destiny's sales, there's just no excuse for having lag in its flagship title and a heavily focused multiplayer game like CoD:AW.

tbh the game looks crap graphics wise, and when these cutscenes happen you can clearly tell the graphics get a big bump up to look good then when the game starts when you can control the character again the graphics go back to looking crap

Can you post without using the words "crap", "horrid" or any other extremely unpleasant comment? It's like all you can do is bitch about graphics and games in general. There are other hobbies out there you know. You should try knitting.

Ubisoft has taught me so many lessons, the watchdog, the assassin unity, even the blacklist.

So the teaser thing is almost like a joke for any developers even the mighty naughty god.

And I don't want to hope high but achieve low, that's so painful.
So from the very beginning I already not trust the UC4 trailer :)

But if they only run that limited area and human face, maybe they can achieve this.

Uncharted is not a sandbox at all

not that this is much of a site when your told what your allowed to like and not like in a game, lol you only have a handful of people who comment

Bye forever, you just made my day.

Lesson for your next life, never insult the editor-in-chief of a website. You're not welcome here anymore Mister Rude. :)

As for having a website without comments, that's more my thing actually. I think it'd be much more interesting than reading what trolls like you have to say.

But you also have to consider what the system has to compute beyond rendering models, textures & lighting; but also physics, animation, AI, sound, etc.

60fps isn't a trivial tweak, it requires a lot of headroom & sacrifice.

There is no reason to expect it on something from Uncharted 4, based on it's trailer, which I'd assume is an in-engine cinematic.

I still find the game's graphics very disappointing compared to the videos we all saw months ago, but it's about Titanfall level and like that game, focuses more on gameplay. I thought the CGI was fantastic though. I was quite surprised to see that level of detail and realism in CGI for a game, but then, they have an endless pocketbook now for outsourcing that kind of stuff.

CGI like that these days is pretty much standard now. I mean, the fidelity of the assets created for the game itself is pretty much just a notch or two below decent offline CG standard anyway. They can basically just create high end models for CG then take them down a notch to be used for the game. It's not that much more work required to just put it into a renderer and raytrace it. It's not like the team that makes COD is lacking money or the resources these days anyway. Most AAA games now all seem to want to be like a Hollywood production, so it makes sense that they would have the same kind of production. It's like the two have now merged.

Oh, I meant to leave a response to Marklola's post, hence the reply quotation. I couldn't help but laugh knowing the consequences. He should have fun over on N4G with all the rest of the kids.
