Just like Battlefield 4, we couldn't capture any PS4 footage of Need For Speed Rivals any sooner, so here it finally is in glorious 1080p. If you really feel like comparing both next gen versions, you can also check out our Xbox One videos right here.

As a critic of this series I was surprised at how fun it can actually be, even if in short bursts. It's basically just a two trick pony but it does those 2 things quite well. I've been having a good deal of fun so far and despite rubber banding AI the challenge level still feels fairly decent and fair. Graphics are great as well as sound. The story is shit but it's a car about going fast and smashing cars so I doubt most will care.

Only game I enjoy on ps4 so far is NFS game....weird times but that's true.

Drift, I asked this before but... any chance of going back to your old method of capturing? Can't watch these on my PS3 and that's why I liked this site so much. To get an idea what games would look like on my TV.

Or at least give an alternative?

I sort of feel you fred,lately when downloaded the killzone sf scenery.I thought i was losing it it was going slow for some odd reason,it doesn't behave via fast forward the same as other videos either.

Games look better, render higher res, and GSyde produce high quality, high bitrate footage. PS3 is no longer adequate for this sort of thing. They could reduce the quality so it ran on the PS3...but then that serves no purpose because you no longer "get an idea what games would look like on my TV"...

Options

-Use a PC connected to your TV.
-convert the footage into something lesser so it runs on PS3
-do nothing and deal with it.

TBH this is a growing problem and I'm glad Gamersyde is the one place I can get real footage. Youtube makes things look like "last gen" or utter-shit, depending upon the game's art style. Killer Instinct videos on Youtube look like crap, even if you pump them up. But here, you can actually download something that looks close-enough.

Rock on GSyde! Don't lower the quality.

Honestly? I can't spot the difference in their previous method of capturing. Also, trailers that they get from devs (also from nex-gen games and in 1080p) run fine on PS3.
They had this short clip of the InFamous SS gameplay footage with no sound (you even linked this for me a while back, thanks for that!) and it looked superb.

It's just a preference.

It's not about the method, it's about resolution and framerate mostly. With next gen and PC going for 1080p and 60fps, you're bound to need a more powerful rig at some point if you want to enjoy our downloaded videos. The only thing Blim is considering is to automatically create a 720p/60fps version of each video. Don't expect it to happen too soon though.

Thanks! I can watch the video's on my PC just fine, it's just that I miss viewing them on my PS3. Hopefully they'll add decent video playback in one of the future firmware updates for the PS4

As said though, I have seen official video's on your site that are in 1080p running at 60fps and I can watch those just fine on PS3 (like all the recent VGX trailers).

Unfortunately, no. At least not at the moment. I have a Samsung ultrabook and it only has an HDMI-mini out so I'd first have to get an adapter.

the adapters are dirt cheap and you can get them in most supermarkets/electronic stores.

We lost the videos after a big crash a few years ago. Since we don't have the original videos anymore, we can't put them back up. We're not going to capture some new footage now. Sorry.
