After Forza Motorsport 5, what better title than Ryse: Son of Rome to demonstrate the power of Xbox One? Crytek's new creation may look a bit repetitive, but it is undoubtedly the best-looking game on the console, with an impressive amount of details. Our good friend Davton really enjoyed capturing these 6 videos for you guys, so we hope you'll enjoy watching them as well.
Note: Again, our captures suffer from the same sound issue we were talking about earlier, so if you hear anything odd, it's not the game itself. We're still looking into it to understand why it affected all the videos we recorded yesterday.

in the 90s you have the same graphics with crappy small TVs VS big expensive TVs, this time around its different...
Also I liked Ryse's story, even though generic plot it was well done, atleast to me. But the gameplay, its a chore to watch, until you see the executions only which is good other than that...meh.
nowadays playing a 1080p game on a 32 inch screen VS 50 inch+ screen results in HUGE DIFFERENCE in visual quality and details that you could see. I am not even talking abvout the comparison between 32 inch 720p TVs and 1080p 60inch+ ones...or even compared to a projector (my prefereed setup for movies and games).
as for surround sound, besides MGS2 cut scenes, and maybe some rare games (GT4), no game supported 5.1 and you cant compare the quality to killzone ps3 with its incredible lossless PCM 7.1 support. the fact is : I cant appreciate the sound of modern games without a surround system...that cant be said about ps1/ps2 games...
You watched the video's via 360/PS3? I might do that too...gives me an indication of how things will look for me when i get the X1 when it launches in 2014 here.
Digital Foundry: Xbox One has its data move engines, dedicated audio hardware etc that should free up CPU resources. Are we seeing a situation almost like the reverse of 360/PS3 - this time with Sony having less CPU resource but more GPU power?
Cevat Yerli: Xbox One's move engine has proven to be quite useful to us by accelerating streaming of texture data, etc. How well that fares overall and compares to the prowess of PS4's compute engines remains to be seen and likely depends on the specific type of game you want to build.

I guess the negative ratings were because the game was classified close to hack slashers. I knew from the very beginning, that anyone looking for their fix on high speed sword action, mid air DMC combos they're not going to get that with this game... and it would not make any bit of sense to see that in this game anyways.
Roman weaponry and combat style was pretty Superior for it's time, but for a game overall it would be kinda basic. I can say anyone with that core idea in their mind they should be able to get passed that and enjoy the game.

I calculated its actually a 136 inch VISIBLE 16/9 picture (visible 300cm*169cm picture, its an elecrtical remote controlled projeection screen, I have at the same spot a 52inch sony 1080p TV). Its very impressive indeed, my guests who see my setup are indeed very impressed and say : its tooooo big ! the soound is incredible ! better than cinema (which is true) ! but I love big screens ! and high quality sound setups (I am a videophile and audiophile at the same time lol)
I find my 52inch sony TV as too small for gaming. And the difference in quality of picture is staggering VS my 1080p DLP mitsubishi projector. Not only I see a lot more details with the projector (cripser picture), with more accurate vivid colors but more importantly the picture is a lot more stable with no aliasing or shimmering for 1080p blu ray movies.
For example what i like to show to my guests as a demo is the movie skyfall on blu ray, on my sony 52inch TV, you cant see a lot of detils even if you sit closer to the screen, in one of the first scenes of the movie the old woman reads her computer screen, on my TV its very difficult to read anything, on the projector you can read letter by letter what is written on her monitor with crisp detail !
thats why I am sure that people who say : there is no perceptible difference between 720p and 1080p, the jump to nextgen is not huge, are surely watching on small screens. even if your distance is narrow your eyes cant see more details because they are already too small. You NEED BIGGER SCREEN to see more details, sitting closer wont help...for your eyes to see very small details ITS NOT ABOUT THE DISTANCE OF VIEWING its about the SIZE OF THE SCREEN...unfortunately very few poeple are aware of this fact even the so called experts who insist on viewing distance as a detrmining factor which is wrong...
try this test : watch any 1080p native video (try forza5 for example or killzone shadow fall) of gamersyde on your 1080p screen (or higher rez) 10 inch tablet. then try watching the same video on a 50inch+ TV. now dont tell me that you were already seeing on your tablet all the details that you are seeing on your big TV screen...unless your eyes have a microscope to decipher the details hidden on those too small pixels of your tablet...
