Since its sequel has just been announced, it got us curious and we decided to purchase the first Shelter on Steam as it was proposed at a very cheap price. With such an original concept as experiencing the life of a mother badger taking care of her cubs, Might and Delight's title will clearly not be everyone's "cub" of tea. The goal is to make sure your baby badgers survive the journey by feeding them as much as possible and keeping them out of harm's way (whether it be wild animals, fire or a dangerous river). The game is short, less than 90 minutes, but however linear it is, the very fact that you can lose your cubs makes it interesting. We just hope the sequel will offer with more variety in terms of situations or gameplay mechanics. As it is, this first attempt is worth a try at this price, provided you see something that might interest you in our videos. The visuals are evidently the game's strongest suit, although we think it lacks contrast and gives the impression there is a constant white veil covering the screen.
