First 10 minutes Wii U Xbox 360 PS3

If you're a regular member, you probably know that we are not particularly good players when it comes to fighting games. So when Tekken Tag Tournament 2 arrived, we had no choice, we were forced to capture the game without the usual elegance we show in most of our videos. Don't blame the game, blame the player they say. Well, that's exactly the state of mind you need to have when watching our 60 fps videos of the 360 versions. We did our best so you could see what this new episode has to offer: a lot of content, free DLC, impeccable framerate and colorful graphics. If you have the game and you love the genre, please feel free to leave a comment to tell us what you think of it.

Intro superb as always, graphics nice. Especially stages look great! TTT was always one of my favourtie fighers, so I would give it a try, if my PS3 would be in good shape. But things I disliked remained. That terrible iron-like hit sound. Bleeeaaah! I would prefer standard block and hit sounds like in movies or something. Not this. And I never liked those little flashes and puffs of smoke or what is it during hits. But still....nice fighting game.

Explain yourself. The humans look like humans, the animals look like animals.
At least its not Mortal Unreal Kombat where the women look like men most the time and everybody moves like Cyrax, (a robot, lol get it?)

I have to agree that compared to DOA the guys in Tekken look like cavemen and the women look like dykes.

But I gotta hand it to Namco's publicity staff. They lock some content on the disc, give the players the keys for free, and suddenly they're champions of justice, doing DLC the right way!

Tekken characters look way more appealing than the doll DOA characters and Mortal Kombat's weird look (other than Scorpion and Sub Zero).

Tekken has that realistic approach to their characters were guys look like guys and women look like women without any extreme weirdness like huge tits and thighs.
Only exageration i see on Tekken, but yet isnt, is the guys muscles, but then again I am training to get fit myself so seeing guys like Kazuya and Jin is a pretty good insperation lol

My favorite has to be Kazuya interms of character design, he is pure badass, except that hair lol

You mean like that character we're watching in these vids that shakes her tits as celebration at the end of winning a match?

The animal characters in here just look stupid. Game is definitely ugly, but that's not it's strength probably as it's getting good reviews.

I was pointing on SF4 and DOA, i am talking purely on design and not animations or whatever.

And yes animals in fighting games? stupid.

But that's Anna's character. Nina is her sister, (they are both Irish lol) and she doesnt flaunt her body like that at all. AND they are still proportional to the rest of her body. They could have just not put the animals in it but then it wouldn't be Tekken.

Tekken has always had animal characters, no reason why they should stop. Does anyone know if this game has Gon? He was awsome.

my problem with most fighting games in general is that they have started evolving (d-evolving) as slow as sports games and that pulls me away from them significantly ... you could say the same for a lot of other games to but I dont' want the cod trolls rimming me till the end of time so I'll keep my opinions to myself

True! Ive been expecting some great body physics, more real grabs and locks, but all fighting games still move like 10 years before. Yes...there is improvement in animation on particular moves, but interaction between characters and body weight or how to say it, is just lame. Ive been expecting something, like when I saw Virtua Fighter on PS2 for the first time. *sigh*

The faces are fine, when i said character design i was mostly refering to the awful tacky costumes and stupid haircuts and just generally unlikable characters.

Lol, the DOA5s (not talking from previous DOA titles) characters look way better than Tekken's action figure character styles IMO

Yeah no they should totally stop making it if you and your friends don't play it anymore. The fact that they are rolling in arcade money and have the best selling fighter available for consoles is totally irrelevant.

As for the videos, i mean sure it's good that you ahve em but they are really a LONG way from what a proper game of Tekken should look like :)

Its a art direction preference, I like more realistic approach to them than doll-like.
But DOA5 looks WAY better than any other DOA so i am good with it hehe.

Tell me about it, and to tell you the truth, I had absolutely no fun playing them. :(

Unfortunately, I had no specialist with me to play properly.

Yeah, unless you have someone to teach you the game, getting in to it can be very tough. Either you have to sit down and break the game to pieces by your self of trudge through a shit ton of threads on forums and hope that you manage to single out the good info. Tekken is maybe a bit too complex for it's own good right now. I think that alienates a lot of people.

Well in terms of style (clothing etc) I agree with you :) . I actually do like how Tekken does the job. Crazy designs and nice colors.

Why can't all games have VF4's training mode? VF5 didn't even pull it off :(

Indeed, but not even VF4EVO covered everything. Final showdown has a kickass frame display thing in the training mode, letting you know how fast each move was in execution and what frame disadvantage you ended up with on hit/block. To be fair though, Namco sponsored a run of Level Up Your Game for Tekken Tag 2. Watching those videos should give you at least an idea of how to play the game "properly" :)

It's a pretty good counter point to "I don't know why they bother," actually. Just because Xoar doesn't get it, doesn't mean that the game doesn't have value to quite a few people.

Seeing as how the game is huge in korean arcades and sells big numbers on consoles, i don't think i'm the only one that likes Tekken. Which is a very valid argument against "i don't like tekken. They should just stop making em"

Well...they're not both good arguments, but I understand your point. I say this because we could talk about other mediums, or even this one, and we would find best-sellers that aren't good.
