Trailer Xbox 360 PS3

After a two-month break, Blur is back with the whole new trailer. The game should be released very soon and we'll all find out if Bizarre Creations will be able to surprise us and make us forget about all our concerns about the game. For now, all we can say is that the game seems to run very smooth as silk!

Man, poor Bizarre, they really messed up.

Bizarre going out of business is a thing I definitely dont want for them, but mario kart and The Club are two games I never thought they would put out and just like I meh'd The Club, I'll be skipping this one.

I think if the mood of this game is abstract enough that the powerups gel, it could be a true gem. It's gonna be a commercial disaster either way though, I just dunno how they reckon there's an audience for this. Except, you know, me and those other.. two.

It's a shame that the games just not on many peoples radar, and that it's coming alongside Split second that looks alot more interesting.

Bizarre really need this to sell.

It feels to me like they tried to much to combine a racinggame with the cool effects of their Geometry Wars games.. It's a shame they stopped with the PGR series..

This ^^ From MSR on the DC through the PGR games on xbox/xbox360 the series had its own brand identity. Now, this is just another multi-platform generic racer. Way to go Bizarre.

I don't think they had a choice with PGR. MS wanted to put all its bucks behind Forza and since they own the PGR name, Bizarre would have had to start from scratch again. Ofcourse they could start again under another name, which I sincerely hope they do.

Plus as great as all of the PGRs are, they all sold pretty bad or atleast too bad for MS...

Now everyone says that Split-Second looks better.
Once you know all the tracks I imagine SplitSecond to become boring very quick while the MP of Blur looks kind of longliving with the amount of cars on track and so much stuff going on. If the physics are as much fun as the PGR ones this game will turn out great.

But it will sell like shit.

Yeah, at first I was convinced SlitSecond would destroy this game, and in terms of presenstation, I still think it does. But, the handling in SplitSecond looks like utter shit, it's terrible from what I've seen. And as you mention, if the tracks and the way they're set up aren't diverse enough, the same building falling over, or plane crashing over and over again, will become stale pretty quickly.

We know BC can provide great driving/handling mechanics, and with some proper "hooks", the game can still turn out decent. But my god, the presentation and art is a complete shitfest.

it depends on how many options are offered during a race in split second.. a falling building could work just as well as firing a shell in mario Kart - it becomes tactical rather than stale.

How you know a racing game (an acrade one at that) handles badly from watching a video of it rather than playing it i'll never know.

It's too bad this is going to be bomb in sales. Bizarre is way too talented to be putting out something like this. They need to go back to the drawing board and make something similar to PGR, and dub it with another name.

The biggest problem with this game is probably the title. Blur ... it sounds so incredibly boring.

Splitsecond cars move fine. It's an arcade racer. You wouldnt look at mario kart, or sega rally, and complain about physics - though maybe you probably would. Realisim is not the point dear.

Wait and play the demo's.
