Nice. Looking forward to the game. The American accent voiceover is seriously out of place in a Souls game though.

Have fun waiting. As for me, i'm not sure whether to stick with my pre-order of the PC version, or just go for the PS3 since the date is set for that one :P

For each their own, i had one of the most memorable experiences with PS3 version of DS and specifically kept a console for 2nd iteration.

The PS3 version is the way to go for pvp and multiplayer though, so far as i know. I mean there are some good players on the PC version as well, but i think the PS3 version has the most users.

Anyway, the PC version in itself was far from superior. Only with the fans fixing it did it even become playable, and soon MS will pull the plug on GFWL anyway, so the 360 and PS3 versions will be the only ones where online is an option anymore.

Really want to sink my teeth in to this game though, see what all the system changes are about. Probably gonna break my pattern this time though, and go for a lighter fast rolling build straight off the bat. Usually i play the first time as a big, slow tank. It usually makes it a bit easier, but seeing as how i've gotten so comfortable with Dark Souls now, i think i'll just skip the training wheels :P

I will enjoy MY experience that has nothing to do with you and your perception of perfection.

Videogames aren't perfect... you don't support the game, they stop making it...look at Call of Duty and how that improved even the last version on regular Wii.

dark souls had a shit framerate. a new "almost next-gen" engine was promised when the cg trailer was unveiled, and then the game was shown and these ridiculous
ps2 looking screens are shown. there isn't almost one sing video scene on DS2 shown that dwarfs the visual quality of locations we all know from DS.

Are you gonna take the hint and believe the engine runs better too? isn't sub-hd and blurry as shit as was DarkDemonS? I don't expect better, at all. Only the Durante Version.

The modder faith is strong in this one!

Seriously though, i think they'll be careful not to have another blight town. That aside, blight town was playable, no problems, on PS3. Sure, there were some frame drops but I don't think I can say that it ever killed me. A little bit annoying, but hardly game breaking. All the gameplay i've seen of DS2 looks fine on console though, can't complain with what's been shown.

The thing about Blight Town is, if you really rush it and don;t kill enemies at all then the fps starts to die. I get through that place slowly and haven't much problems.

Sure same engine, but in motion, DSII looks better than previous games.

After checking one of the latest gameplay videos on youtube, they seem to look slightly better, definitely better visual effects during attacks being hit on stone walls, shields...etc. so thats nice.

What? I mean, From haven't formally announced what engine they are using though, have they? At any rate, they have themselves said that they are using a stronger engine this time though, which to me suggests that they've moved away from PhyreEngine. Not that it really matters, so long as the game plays well and is improved in terms of slowdowns and other technical issues.

Have both ps3 and PC version. And there is no valid reason not to choose the pc version over console(if you have the choice).

There are just as many good players and you have a wide arrangement of controllers to pick from. Graphics are better and smoother(wich make for better gameplay).

The only real reason that exist why a player would choose console over PC is because of hackers. Yes they exist, and it takes peanut skills to make them work. Gladly most DS players are honor players so there is minimal damage done by these scum.

Yeah more than 95% of games which are multiplats that is the way to go. Console version run like medium settings at best at 720P 30fps. Most PC can perform better. lol.

ds wasn't even 720p and was blurry as shit. i mean if you have a blurry game as Vanquish, a game so fast it doesn't really mind most of the time, but a slow methodical and full of little details like Soul game are, i mean, cmon...
