Trailer Xbox 360 PS3

2K Games released a new trailer for NBA 2K10. As usual, the animations are top notch but there have apparently been very few improvements in the visuals since the previous game.

Yeah, I'd have to agree about the visuals being stagnate. The game never looked bad though, but an upgrade in the visuals would be nice. It's a hard call with this game. The animations are so far above most sports games that the game comes off as looking to have better visuals than its rival NBA Live. In still shots NBA Live is the clear winner, but the game of basketball is all about motion. The NBA 2K series has perfected a balance between visuals, gameplay, and animation. It would be nice if more games other than sports games could do the same.

whoa! i wonder why they havent featured that in their trailers. unless i just missed those of course. man i've always wanted that extra tiny feature in sports games, that just makes them come to life. MLB 09 The Show to me is still the best in terms of player animations and whatnot but hey im excited about nba 2k10!

Bah, NBA Live has higher poly models, that's it. Especially since VC fixed the player faces. 2k's deformation( attributed to the use of muscle simulation) is way better, the cloth simulation is light years better, and the actual modeling is more realistic. That says nothing about the animation, the crowds, and the crazy attention to detail they have. On a whole, this graphically spanks NBA live, IMO...

I agree but the one thing that irks me greatly is how the jersey seems to just float about half an inch from the players' shoulders. its just that everything is spot on so this little detail really stands out.

oh and i take back my previous comment. the animations in this game are wicked.

God, I hate that too. Otherwise, i have very few complaints about the 2k series at all.Oh, and the Live demo is actually good, maybe they're stepping up this year

Ah, but they float in NBA Live too. It's an unfortunate side effect to having cloth simulation in realtime( it protects against clipping and more nasty issues you get with Cloth simulation)...

As a fan of the very first since the DC days this will spank NBA Live (dumb mans bball game) once again. Looks top notch!
