Some previews of Tomb Raider went up today and that means new screenshots are up too. A new trailer should be out before month's end. Square Enix will release the game on March 5th.

It's by no means a deal breaker for me! I just understood that they usually make them in better quality, and then scale them down, to get optimal performance on the platform. On PC, performance shouldn't be an issue, so there's no point in only shipping the scaled down ones.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
I may have to try this. I only played the first two years ago. And if it is anything puzzle / adventure bound like those, I'll be sure to give it a shot.
On another note, I'm actually quite surprised that they were never sued by the George Lucas troupe for what is essentially the female Indiana Jones.
