Video PC Xbox 360 PS3

To celebrate the weekend as well as the 20th anniversary of SEGA's number one mascot, I decided to post a new video of Sonic Generations. Fasten your seat belts and get ready for Mach 3. This is truly a great game you should not miss if you like platformers!
Update: Added videos from the PC version captured in 1920*1080@60, slowdowns are due to Fraps.

I played the game about 5 hours today. That's the first 3 levels with both Sonic's, some challenges and then playing levels again to find new routes. I am really surprised! Game is really fun. I had some controlling problems when playing the modern levels but nothing too bad so far.

I like how the mission mode adds some variety to the stages. New enemy locations, barriers... so far I have had fun S ranking the missions.

I also need to say the musics have been pretty amazing. I love the musics when you walk around in the menus.

Graphics also look really nice. It's pretty much running 60fps with my PC. Although it has some really strange slowdowns sometimes.

I'll keep playing more but so far it seems like a really good Sonic game. I can recommend this!

My only problem with controls is the height of Sonic's jump. Perhaps not a control problem, probably more of a core gameplay problem. I specifically remember older Sonic games like SA1 and SA2 where you could literally jump higher than what you could in Sonic Generations. And that fustrates me a lot because I used to be a huge Sonic fan and I've nearly played every single Sonic title ever released and I still have my instinctual skills from the days of SA1, SA2 and Sonic Heroes so whenever I try to do a long distance jump or jump to a high platform I usually get annoyed at the fact it fails because of this fault.

Other than that, I love the game. Finished it today. Although, SEGA have finally showed us they can now make great Sonic gameplay so they have to start on a Sonic Adventure 3 and continue the amazing legacy from the Dreamcast era. Perhaps, the story could be loosely based on the Metarex arc from the Sonic X anime and sort of have an alternate timeline to Sonic Heroes (in terms of Shadow's reappearance that is). Kind of like the Legend of Zelda's Ocarina Split timeline continuity.

I like the idea.

This game looks great on PC. I'll wait for a Steam sale, then pick it up no problem.

That video brings back glorious memories of the Dreamcast original. Shame Sega didn't remove the ridiculous vocals from that track though! :D

This is surprising a good Sonic game I saw the trailer on steam and it ignited the fanboy in me that was long dead since the sonic CD and sonic adventure on the dreamcast. Plays very well on my AMD 6970 GPU also.
