Codemasters has just released some new images for Operation Flashpoint 2, that also goes by the title Dragon Rising. It will most certainly keep all the players who can't afford to play Arma 2 on PC busy. The game is planned for release in September on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and of course, PC.

This looks kinda similar, but I'm kind of in unfamiliar territory when it comes to Army simulation PC games...
I hope OPF runs a bit better than ARMAII, either way i think i prefer the art direction in this, and i hope it has a bit more structure/sympathy to those a little less hardcore sim.
Announce an editer to come with it like the first one had and i'm sold.
ArmA 2 also has pretty questionable performance.
What I'm most interested in is seeing how/if this game strikes a better balance between its quest for realism and its need for fun than ArmA 2.
The regular day stuff that looks very impressive runs at about 40 FPS on high settings. The game's particle engine is also rather weak but it still looks mighty impressive IMO.
