Did not not sack most the people who worked on the last one because it was such a huge failure and a terrible..terrible game?

What makes this one any better...Because codemasters dont half churn some shit out.

the last one was pretty good, i liked playing the game with buddies in coop mode, multiplayer did suck huge d*ck.

though the screen from the last one looked amazing as well, the game didn't look the same, but the game did look great.

I thought the last one was pretty horrible to be honest. I was really looking forward to it but it totally lacked, AI was horrible, handling was horrible but it did look quite good though!

I donno man, I loved the last Flashpoint! Single player was good, but multiplayer was the bee's knees. My final score stood at like 8000 kills to 250 deaths approx. Yea, that's right, I was DEMO-ING people like no tomorrow, especially those that didn't know to shoot over long distances (lob the bullet etc).

So yea, can't wait. Except I heard they removed the multiplay.... bummer.

So this year instead of the bullshot target renders they're just releasing very lores screenies so nobody can see all the flaws? Interesting ;)

Looked great? Did you play it on PC? I bought it PS3 and thought it was hands down one of the ugliest games on the console. I loved the original PC game from years ago, but DR was terrible. Their "realism" that involves 5-10 shots to take down an enemy, and "open world" levels that are linear, timed affairs, with boring environments just didn't do it for me.

As someone who was really looking forward to DR, I was extrememly disappointed to see them reneg on just about every promise they made for the game. I won't even consider the sequel here unless I start seeing reviews in the 9+ range.

The thing about OFP:DR was that it fell short of the mark on a few major areas. If codies took the time to fix just a few of the problems or allowed the modding community to fix it they could have had a classic on their hands. Instead they chose to lock it down and abandon the game in pursuit of the sequel.

When will they realize that sandbox mil-sims need to be mod friendly in order to last the pace. I, and most gamers I know who play mil-sims would happily pay 50 quid a year for the latest update as long as it's all compatible and mod friendly with previous versions a-la Armed Assault.

With codies it's always one eye on the release date and one eye on the sequel.

So true. Although for the console community, I don't think we will ever see "mod friendly" games. Even if they fullfilled half of their promises for OFP:DR, it would have been goty for me. I have been waiting for a realistic tactical mil sim for years, but no one seems to be capable of making one for consoles.

I remember being on the official Codies forums before release, and the devs were promising a massive open island that you could traverse at will, with small battles raging everywhere you went. Then I get the game and find out that if I decide to take a back route to attack a camp, it is "mission over" because I stepped a few meters out of the combat zone. Not to mention the fact that almost every mission had a timer which would cause you to fail the mission if you didn't just run-n-gun your way through it. So much for "realism".

Honestly, if they made the game a true open battlefield, dropped the damn time limits, allowed for pre-mission loadouts, and improved the engine/vechicles, this would be my ideal game. No idea what they have planned for the sequel, but judging by Codies track record, it will probably just be a quick cash in.

Not one penny these guys will get from me!

Their last game was a bug ridden disaster and they lied about the game and it's freeroam.. they then brought some DLC that was on the disc and never bothered to properly fix the online portion of the game.. once the money was in they just pulled the plug on the support and we were left with still a broken game.

Not.. one.. penny. stick this game where the sun dont shine CM.
