Ever since the first time I saw Abzû and heard who was developing it, I knew it would be a great game with a lot of charm - like a Journey, but underwater.

Hence why I kept asking for its trailers in high quality Gamersyde-style. Thanks for these videos and I hope everyone enjoys Abzû.

I got this today on the PC, played it for a bit and was impressed. So far its an awesome game and it plays really well and looks beautiful.

Very cool they added a Ultra setting for the PC, I totally recommend getting it on either platform. I wish they would unlock multi screen resolutions, they currently black bar the left and right screens :( , that would be my only complaint.

Good times, odd this game was not on Sony's main presentation at E3, weird?

Let's not forget returning Austin Wintory who is responsible for the soundtrack again.

Even more surprising ESPECIALLY with the orchestra present. However it did get a lovely debut at PlayStation's E3 2014 conference https://youtu.be/ozo1EYAjkNM?t=50m52s

I'm kind of surprised nobody was talking about Abzu until only about 3 or 4 months ago.

I read it's only 2-3 hours long. That's shorter than Journey even. And the reviews aren't raving as well
Damn two of worst criteria to judge a game. But 3 negative scores so far obviously means it is not for everyone.

2-3 hours long is actually the exact length of journey.

I think it's a tad overpriced for a game that hasn't garnered as much hype as Journey. Assuming an objective would have been to reach as wide an audience as soon as possible a lower price would have greatly helped.

The mind set these days is I will wait until it's on sale or wait until it's a PS plus game. If sales (eewww) meet their projections then that's all that matters but I see the price limiting initial interest especially in and amongst the plethora of summer sales. Do I buy Abzu or do I buy The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Everybody's gone to the Rapture, Not a Hero and Dust for all the same price (I haven't done the maths but you get my point).

I'm actually glad Abzu isn't long because there are so many games most of which could afford to lose some weight. I look at the summer sale and there were and are games at ridiculous prices that I want to play but I didn't buy because by the time I could play them the would be on a summer sale again. I have a backlog as far as the eye can see and every release from digital to AAA has to contend with that.

I did about 5 hours to complete it. You should know that to me Journey was the best game of it's generation. So I was soooo looking forward to this. But seeing that it scores 79 opposed to 91 for Journey, tempers my enthousiasm a lot. I know it's purely based on emotion and not reason, but I expected more. I was certain the studio would make an even better game as was the case from Flow to Flower to Journey.
but it's not the same studio?!? that's like expecting super meat boy to be great because castle crashers was. lol

and how you managed 5 hours out of journey is beyond me. the fact it's 2 hours long was what i loved about it. it meant single sitting start to end completion and it let you play multiple times to meet new people without the sense of fatigue.
