After covering the Xbox 360 release a few months ago, it is now the turn of the PC version of Binary Domain to deserve our attention. As you will see, the boost in antialiasing and framerate is more than welcome here, and though it is clearly not to compete with the likes of Witcher 2 and Crysis, the game still looks rather good. Here are a bunch of homemade videos in 1080p and 60 fps, which will hopefully convince you to give Toshihiro Nagoshi's title a try. Considering it will probably be long before SEGA publish another third person shooter with a western audience in mind, our advice is not to miss it as there will most certainly be no sequel to it.

The game sold poorly so there probably won't be a sequel, but I hope people recognize Nagoshi as possibly the only Japanese developer who took an honest dive into learning from western development (I'd call even Vanquish half-hearted), and managed to marry it with some Japanese style.

Commented on 2012-04-29 16:31:34When shooting robots frame rate goes beneath 30, which is unacceptable.
Mouse shooting feels weird and voice commands ...... don't even get me started.
Commented on 2012-04-29 16:58:58I am getting mostly 60fps 2560*1440 with 560ti.

Commented on 2012-04-30 10:47:48That's the trouble with alot of these games, none of them push the graphics, that's why people still harp on about crysis 1 tech demo that it was.
Gameplay wise, it's ok. Worth a go.
Plays abit like gears with robots, but missing that awful running anim that gears has. thankgod.

Commented on 2012-05-01 15:04:19Japanese developers have really fallen from grace. I can't believe shader technology lead to their demise....
Square Enix - total crap this gen, way too much focus on handhelds with mediocre console out from Japan (Eidos has been good though)
Kojima Productions - last gen they gave us one hit after another on the PS2 (MGS2, MGS3, ZOE2) but so far they have only released MGS4 which sucked ass and MGS Raiden was handed to another developer
Sony Japan - The Ape Escape games were brilliant but now it seems the studio has been shut down. That ICO guy/team lost his mind and left the company....
Same goes for all the other companies in Japan, I have zero expectations from them.
Pretty sure the only two Jap PS3 games I own are Final Fantasy XIII (lol terrible) and Valkyria Chronicles (boring)
