After a very promising demo, Ghostrunner is about to be released and we can tell you it is well worth your time provided you have the necessary patience and self-control to overcome the many obstacles you're bound to encounter when climbing up the Dharma Tower. We have 2 videos for you today, one showing the game running in 4K with the DLSS quality mode and one with ray tracing activated and a 50% resolution scale at 4K. We'll have some Xbox One X footage as soon as we can. Enjoy!

Of course not all games should be the same and if the developers truly believe that's the best way their vision can be executed, I respect that. When I do get to play it, I will just have to be patient. It might be a game better played in small burts then, something that when you get too much frustrated, you move away from.
Another thing is that the controller setup was really awful, the jump was RB/R1 for example. I don't remember it well, but I believe you couldn't remap/rebind in the demo, though I'm not sure. And playing with a controller was way harder than with a keyboard + mouse, hence the 1-hit kill mechanic being far more punishing if one plays with a controller.
I hope the developers have addressed these issues, as I remember reading a lot of people giving that feedback during the Steam Festival. Still looking forward to it, as it's a very unique experience well worth of the time. Just needs a few tweaks here and there to be truly great.
Thanks for informing me that there's more control schemes. That should definitely help. I have that $10 voucher on the Epic Games Store and was browsing it yesterday for 20-30 minutes, saw Ghostrunner and thought I might buy it, but not gonna play it atm, so it wouldn't be wise to get it now.
Same for other great games like Hades, etc. Even saw both Trials Fusion and Blade Tacticts for very, very cheap. Really wanted to get them, but if I'm not gonna play it for months, better to save money.
Gonna have to let the voucher expire, it's a waste, but I just bought the Battle Pass and Welkin of the Moon for Genshin Impact an hour ago, plus debating whether to buy Destiny 2's Beyond Light with all the 4 seasons or not. And Warframe is gearing up to launch quite a few things before the year ends, so not much time to play other games in the next month(s).
Creative direction and gameplay are off the charts. Loved the demo. Very excited for the full thing.
