PC players have been waiting for the release of NieR: Automata for 2 weeks, and apparently, the wait may not have been worth it. The PC port of the game seems to suffer from several issues that are quite unacceptable in such a game. To begin with, activating Vsync results in locking the framerate at 30 fps in gameplay sequences, at least on our rig. The only workaround we have found is to play in borderless window mode, which wouldn't be a problem if such a display was indeed available in the game. We then had to find some outside help, with this dedicated program. Alas, even after doing all that, the game still doesn't feel very smooth, despite what our FPS counter keeps saying, which makes the whole experience a little unpleasant to say the least. A few other problems have also been mentioned on the Internet, like the 30 fps cutscenes, which caused the game to get mixed reviews on Steam yesterday - it has improved since then though.

This shitty job has happened with all 3 of the Final Fantasy 13 games on PC, and now with N:A, and this is a AAA publisher with many amazing teams specialized in porting PC games like the Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and Hitman games, among so many more.
It's really unexcusable that while paying the same $60 for the same game, PC players get fucked over and over by companies with all these bad ports. While this will never happen, I wish we got a $10-20 discount every time a game ran like shit at launch, either on PC or on consoles.
Just Cause 3 on PS4 and even PS4 Pro still runs on low 20fps often and evn drops below 15fps sometimes, even after almost 1 year and half since it launched, the developers never even bothered to fix and improve the game, even after releasing 3 major DLC story missions packs after. They just don't give a fuck anymore - or maybe they never did and we just didn't know at the time.
PS. If I sound pissed, it's because I was very, very excited to play the game and am now waiting for it to get fixed either by the developers or the community before playing it, no point in playing it now and have the game's experience be negatively affected by lazy development.

Don't really need v-sync though because g-sync.
