You'll have to wait until tonight 10:00 GMT+2 to find out what we think of WRC 5, but until then you can get a pretty good idea of what to expect from the game by watching our (many) videos of the PC version. We had to play with a gamepad because apparently our wheel isn't supported (that's a first!) but sadly there was nothing we could do. The stages we picked for the videos were often very short so you could see more different countries, but there are much longer ones (up to 9 km or so).

If what I hear is correct this game had to be made with a very small development team with limited resources and very limited time, partly due to Rally Sport being unpopular in many countries including the US, its also being released on last gen consoles considering this it looks very good.

Well I'm really wondering about the positioning of this series. It has the WRC license, maybe that's where all the money went. Or it is a question of efficiency, and the Codemasters team can do more with the same money? Or Codemasters have indeed more money, because their games are better and, therefore, sell better? I can only judge the WRC games by reviews as I have never played them, but they seem consistently mediocre, in the 60-70% range on metacritic, for example.
I can only shrug and walk away, knowing that I'm not interested in a mediocre game with a licence, while there are better games which don't have the WRC name.
