Totally agreed. some things needed to be simplified but not to this extent. example : one inventory slot to choose from various items :/ , plain bulls**t.
one drop ship , only 6 squad members , no patrolling aliens, and the list goes on and on.
Btw I have completed the game. The experience wasn't that fun as on old x-com games.

Each to his own i guess, the old xcom games where some of my favorite game of all time, but this beats them hands down, the so called "simplifacation" was more a case of streamlining and modernising it in a very clever and good way.
Just a far more fun game to play than the old ones, and every bit as hardcore as the old ones only with a lot less clutter and tedious bullshit.
Very much enjoying this. Big fan of the original too but I think I'll end up liking this one more. The hub atmosphere is worthy of a mention alone. A game you can play again and again by the looks of it

game is garbage compared to the original and the amount of things you can do, although i did like the art style of the game, but game play is more important, and this is lacking compared to the original and the amount content
