Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Ride will officially ship on PS4 and Xbox One on April 10, but it's been available at some retailers for a week now. Thus, we can now offer you four homemade videos of Milestone's new game in its PS4 version. The pleasant driving sensations and the wide variety of motorcycles clearly make it quite appealing, while the rather small number of tracks and average graphics might turn most people off. Even worse, the awfully long loading times are on par with Bloodborne's, which says it all, and they can even feel longer at times... Have a look at our videos, but keep in mind that we edited them to get rid of the loading screens.

I'm fairly interested in this game. Last generation I played SBK09 which had the best gameplay I ever played on a game like this, so naturally I'm interested in this one but I'll only buy it when it's cheaper than retail price.

Thanks for the vids ;)

Liked the demo. Had some rough edges presentation wise. Bikes are gorgeous but those loading screen jpegs reek of budget and undermine the quiet steller presentation.

This is sad, I wonder if we'll ever get another motorcycle racing game with a decent budget. The problem is that people like me not supporting a title like this does not help, and at this point I feel like we are too late. Developer/publishers already know the game/genre does not sell, hence throwing more funds in there is not in their best interest.

In my opinion, things peaked with MotoGP1 and MotoGP2 on the original Xbox, when it was done by Climax (on Xbox only). The graphics were as good as any, and the game was just polished -- I remember the presentation was amazing, with pre-race highlights from the year before, and the handling was awesome.

Then I don't know what happened, they ended up adding side stuff like street races, and different bikes to a perfectly fine series instead of focusing on improving its strengths.

Then MotoGP was not a thing anymore, and the best became the SBK series, but they only had the racing going for them, everything else in that series screamed low budget.

And now we are here. No SBK or GP, it's just "Ride".

Looks ok. I think I will buy the game in the next few weeks.

I can't wait to see what Polyphony Digital will do next - they scanned the insane Isle of Man TT-track (60km length) last summer.

Maybe a new Tourist Trophy-game?

Watching these vids reminded me of 2 things, one how ingenious it was of drive club to remove the driving line and use flags as a approximate tell and two how the driving line has made racing games an interactive QTE. I remember the thrill of having to learn the track in MotoGP 2 on PC, and now that perk has all but been forgotten I've stumbled into driving with the driving line and never turning it off and much of the challenge and appreciation of track design is lost in the semi automated tunnel visioned design of driving lines.

Indeed. I loved the replay modes, where you could have wireframe, Tron-style graphics, and all sorts of other trick settings that, for me, made the games that little bit special.

I'll have to dust off my xbox now :)

is there Isle of Man track? My problem with games like that is that you don't have "wheel" for it and whole point of riding bike is balancing with body.

Totally agree, loved the MotoGP series from Climax and have never found a motorcycle racing game as good since
