First 10 minutes Xbox 360 PS3

DJmizuhara is back with some nice video footage of Asura's Wrath, a game some would call an interactive anime. We will start with the first 18 minutes of the adventure but be sure we will be back with some more asap. Not everyone will enjoy this game but it is without a doubt something to experience if you like Japanese animated cartoons.

I had such high expectations for this game when they revealed the gameplay trailer, until "feature list" showed up and saying it focuses on QTEs and demo...gave me a huge headache.

Such great potential it had but got screwed.

I do like the DLC news I saw were Ryu shows up in SF4 form and the REAL anime-style version of this game.
But meh, I will youtube it all.

Though I do want the OST, very nice tracks from what I heard in trailers and gameplay.

@Sath, ya that was a let down; in the same vein though it is probably the coolest one out there; what bothers me more is not the QTE but the length of the game is of greater concern

The game is practically like Heavy Rain, its a interactive movie, I want GAMEPLAY, there was barely anything in there.
I just get ticked off by the most simple "press button fast" in games that rarely shows up, thats how much I hate QTE.

Anyways, considering this is a "anime movie" I will just watch all of it on youtube and be done with it if I cared.

And tbh, even the gameplay was severly boring to me, aim and shoot? melee was extremely boring ebcause how limited it was.

When I see Asura I think of Akuma, in the level of say, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 type, super fast, rage combos, alot of it...etc but nope.
I still love the design of Asura though, but only when he has two normal arms and not more, or none lol

Yeah the game goes too far with the qte's but it is awesomely over the top and pretty damn fun to look at.

I'm having a blast playing it...yes there are lots of QTE's but they're so crazy and over the top it's just shear entertainment! The fighting mechanics may be simple but they're fun to play with and performing combos is VERY satisfying. Boss battles are great fun to play the sense of humor in this game is top class, Asura is such an ANGRY god it's funny! Before you guys bash it, at least give it a try.

Idd, this game seems to be lacking in the boob physics department. The devs should have spent 80% of dev time just working on that!

Honestly, if Yasha has more gameplay segments, or the game has Chapter Select so I can finish the game and just pick Yasha's chapter then I might give it a go. But considering I havent found anything on it, I wont be playing it.

You're absolutely wrong! The demo just give the player a feel for the game...the demo isn't a good representation of the full game. You ain't played the full game so you don't know...reading a review doesn't count.

I have seen all there is to see on youtube, even past the demo parts, I still stand with my opinion. I dont have to play the full game when there is youtube walkthrough videos.

If you can confirm if there is Chapter Select so I can only play Yasha's section then I may consider playing it.

I am interested to see this Asura vs Ryu 2D fighting style though.
They should definitely add Akuma and Gouken as well, they fit the whole old oriental master stuff. Akuma is practically a old version of Asura.

May pick it up when its a tenner.. you're watching rather than playing, and though it may look awesome and over the top, who in their right mind would pay £30+ for a movie? I did love heavy rain, but i felt more in control with choices and consequences for my actions there

There is gameplay in this game, I played the demo and there was gameplay, if you let go the control you will die, so is not a movie.

if you press stop on a remote a movie will stop. If you press pause, rewind, fastforward.. and movie will do such. This control you have over a movie doesnt mean you're any less directed on the path the movies taking you... what you see will always be the same. Theres no room to explore..and the only consequence for your actions will be delaying whats ahead. This sounds alot like Asura's wrath...if the demo's anything to go by.

It is. then whats the point of doing walkthroughs on youtube, its there for people who save money on a game not worth buying if gameplay is boring to them, but they like the story and cutscenes, something that is very appealing in this game.
