The Call of Duty: Black Ops III beta has been available since this morning on PS4 and we've prepared some homemade footage of the game you will fond inside, in 1080p and 60 fps.
I've played several matches, feeling good, though is seems that wall run doesn't make much real use than showing off.
The major problem for me is that I can't customize my charactor, have to choose from several presets.
Graphically looks worse than AW.
Nothing in the movement looks like anything that couldn't be done in AW either, and it looks like in some ways, there is actually some regression there.
I dunno..., it looks..., fine? Acceptable? The art style is somewhat decent, at times.
Just nothing exciting, which basically describes my reaction/feelings towards this game since it was first announced.
I really miss the times of COD MW1....dedicated server, fresh feeling of a solid military FPS, good contents....now we only have bad pings, p2p connections, tons of DLC (that should be included in the first release of the game for free), and hackers. Why bother?
I love it, way better than zigzag bunny jumps on steroids bullshit.
This one is slower, more grounded yet they let you use some wallrunning, slides and go higher up, but nothing super fast...i barely experienced the shit i did in AW which is great.
Now i am not sure i will get it, but chances has been raised.
I choose Ruin specialist but i wish we could customize them all with various heads, gear, colors like in AW so everyone is unique, in BO3 everyone looks like clones of eachother. But if its not there then i dont care much since Ruin is my go to design anyway lol
Also, paintjob work is the most obnoxious thing i seen to COD interms of customization. How the hell do you apply stuff to the weapon so you can see them BEFORE you save?
everytime i look at a new call of duty i wince a little bit more :( The COD that featured the level with the atomic bomb explosion (MW2 or 3) was good fun but apart from that nothing has been like the old CODs. Such a shame, imagine WW1 or WW2 (or any other wars for that matter) in the fidelity that we have today (no, im not Chris Roberts).

I guess they just run out of ideas
The WW series almost have nothing left enough to make games
The modern has the same problem, e.g. US vs RU, terrorist, War among countries... Many players are also tired of these things
Then they have to make the SF games
They just have no choice I guess
i'd like to see some alt-history type ideas thrown around in COD.
cyberpunk. steampunk. something like resistance were it was history meats sci-fi. or something along the lines of fall of liberty (only good) where the nazi's won the war and invaded the US but again with a merging of more futuristic firearms for the time. there's plenty they could do but they try to be too grounded and political in call of duty. even the more "out there" tech is usually based on something in development in reality. like the exoskeletal suit etc. they need to get really crazy with their ideas, but i imagine the higher ups won't allow it. too much risk involved
You guys all romanticize the old CODs, the new ones are undoubtedly the best refined over the years and whatnot, they've just become stale to you and there isn't enough relative change from year to year.

That's not really true for all of us. COD4 on PC was a different breed of game than everything that came after it, mostly thanks to mod support. There was an awesome comp. scene on COD4 promod, and it was the last super popular PC COD. Sorta the beginning of the end. If they actually made a game that was a refined COD4 with the same feature set.. I'd buy it.
I do sorta consider it ancient history at this point.. but I will give Treyarch a little credit. Out of all of the COD devs, they seem to care more about a robust feature set. They are the only one consistently offering dedicated servers, and they are even bringing unique features to the PC (like multi-monitor local multiplayer).

The cod always have a serious but fiction story.
And no monsters at all except the zombie mode.
It just doesn't feel right if cod do things in the resistence way

it's that sort of thinking that's made COD as stale as it is. always realistic locations, realistic weapons, realistic gadgets, some pseudo-political plot involving invading nations blah blah blah *zzzzzz* they need to mix it up a bit.
oh, and COD did have the alien mode too, so they've already dipped a toe in it. when a games side bonus modes (zombies/extinction) are better then your main game you know something isn't right.

I think dedicated servers were actually announced for this game, recently? I could be wrong. I agree, though.

Except that, and this: I really miss having a good fps to play.
