If you're used to keeping an eye on the community section on Gamersyde, you can't have missed the few videos of Ghost Song which were posted a few days ago. If you have no idea what we're talking about, then you'd better check out the two videos we just made thanks to the code developer Matt White sent us. The man is currently working on an old school title which pays tribute to both Metroid and Dark Souls. The game was launched on Kickstarter and the money which was collected was far beyond White's dreams. As you'll see, the game lets you play the role of a mysterious character wearing a battle suit very reminiscent of Samus'. You'll gain new abilities as you progress and will have to find your way in a maze-like open world. We have all reasons to look forward to the final product, although the aiming system could use a more recent scheme instead of the old one from the 2D Metroid days. We believe it'd be way more practical to use the right analog stick to shoot at 360 degrees but it might be against Matt White's original idea to create his very own Metroid game. More info right here.
Note : The version presented here is still in beta state.

For a beta game I am enjoying it a lot.
I think the game the day is ready for a final retail game will be an excellent one.
Anyway this is a beta, in the final version you maybe can choose
It was a couple of minutes of mental confusion. lol
I suppose I was playing Super Metroid when double jump was two times at first not three. :D
I finished the beta 15 minutes after that jump-dumb moment. :D
I am gonna play this weekend more deep into the game to find every secret I left (I will record a couple of extra videos) and I will give you my opinion about the beta in the steam forum you know Matt. :)
