Last episode in a trilogy which started barely more than a year ago, Goodbye Deponia is an old school point and click which pays tribute to all the LucasArts titles of yore. With its humor, its endearing characters and beautiful 2D graphics, the game seems to have a lot to offer to all the fans on the genre. The plot continues exactly where Chaos on Deponia ended, which means you need to have played the two previous games to fully enjoy the story. Don't hesitate to check out our videos and tell us what you think. As for us, since we haven't played Deponia and Chaos on Deponia, we definitely want to catch up before we continue any further.

I have played both Deponia and Chaos on Deponia and can say they are great, they are beautifully drawn, very funny, the voice acting is top notch, have a great story, great characters and challenging puzzles; and this is were its biggest flaw comes in, perhaps the games are too much challenging.
At least some of the puzzles are very illogical, as in being something that makes no sense no matter how hard you look at it, I'm a huge fan of adventure point-and-click games and have played dozens upon dozens of them throughout the years without many, if any major problems, but the Deponia games really tested my patience, a lot of times taking me days to figure it out some puzzles, and in some rare cases, even resorting to finding a solution online and then just realizing how badly designed those puzzles were, because it almost felt like you had to be the pewrson who designed them to make any sense.
Still, you - nor anyone - should let that stop you from playing them, because even with all the difficulty, these are the best Lucas Arts type of old school adventure point-and-click games to have come out in years.
Also, in a sense, the Deponia series is the spiritual successor of the Monkey Island series and since you have Guybrush Threepwood's face as your avatar and a nickname resembling his last name, I really gotta ask you this: How in the hell haven't you played them yet?
PS. I ask that with all due respect, it's just that being a huge fan of adventure point-and-click games, ever since I saw Deponia's first trailer, I knew it would be a great game and after playing them, it's almost impossible to not see how much the Monkey Island games inspired them, so if you're a huge fan of one, how did you not play the other. :)
There are so many other games to take care of for Gamersyde that I barely have time to play those I want. :)
