Gotham Knights will come out tomorrow and its release is clearly happening too soon considering the many performance issues the Xbox Series X suffers from. Aside from the absence of a performance mode, it's truly a shame to see that a game that is exclusive to current gen machines should run so poorly. Not that the game itself would be absolutely awesome with a steady framerate mind you, but it's decent enough for the fans provided they don't expect an organic approach to the open world. The combat system isn't very interesting, some activities are very redundant, but the atmosphere isn't too bad in main missions. Check out our video footage and let us know what you think.

"They came up with some artificial solutions to extend the campaign, like Challenges of the Legionnaires, a tedious, mandatory part of the main story that involves completing grindy quests in order to access tombs across the game’s world."

You know a game's design is very bad when developers employ this crap. Like Middle-Earth: Shadow of War's tedious last act in order to unlock the true ending - they patched it later on, but I just went to YouTube, like most people did. There's also Final Fantasy 13 with those 0.00001% drop rates for the materials necessary to craft the best equipment in the game.
I'm one of the biggest Batman fans and I'm begging people to please wait 6-12 months for a very heavily discounted version and with as many patches and fixes as possible. I'm sure that like with any WB Games' title, they will release a lot of DLCs and the eventual GOTY/Definitive edition next year.
So to anyone interested in playing this game, please wait. This way you will get a better experience and also not reward companies releasing unfinished/broken games. There are many other great games worth of your time and money in the coming months - like God of War Ragnarök on PS4/PS5 and Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PC, as well as many other older games on your backlog that you never played or liked, but didn't finish.
Digital Foundry did a great analysys of Gotham Knight on consoles and on PC, people have been mentioning that even a RTX 3090 can't sustain 60fps with Ray Tracing off, which is so insanely absurd I can't even imagine how they thought it was okay to release a game in this state. So please just wait and go play something better both game and technical wise.
