The end of May will see the return of racing fun with the release of Mario Kart 8, but since we were sent an early copy of the game, you can enjoy some high quality videos made in Gamersyde starting today. Here are 20 minutes of gameplay footage showing 6 different tracks in 150cc class for the most part - only Sunshine Airport was captured in 50cc class. Enjoy!

Edit: I forgot the most important question? Is it 1080p and 60fps!?!??
720p@30FPS - 4 player splitscreen
Your TV reporting that it's getting a 1080p signal is not the same.
Upscaling from 720p to 1080p doesn't do shit. If the game is only running at a native 720p upscaling or not will not make a difference.
ZombiU for example is only 720p. Many say that it's 1080p, but that's wrong.

And I guess the question in the top comment wasn't serious as well. If you own a WiiU, you surely dont care about resolution and fps so much.
The game itself looks fun.
I also havent owned or will ever choose to own a Nintendo console since the N64 but have to admit this version of Mario Kart looks a blast for a few hours at weekends with friends. If i did own a Wii U id grab this day one :)

At least most games are native 720p on WiiU.
I still care about resolution. Makes a world of difference on it's own.
As long as it's native and I'm playing on an HDTV it's alright in 720p.
Even if I to some extent expected 1080p.
Why did you limit the maximum bitrate to 15 Mbps?
It's obviously not enough bitrate. There are a lot of compression artifacts.
720p60 needs more than 15 Mbps.

Like a a Dead Rising 3 on Xbox One fore exemple: videos here on gamersyde are in 1080p but the native resolution of the game is 720p.
Thanx for your job!
