Apart from the excellent Gravity Rush about a week ago, PS Vita owners have not had much to keep busy in the past few months. It is probably why Konami decided to port its Metal Gear HD Collection to Sony's handheld, unfortunately not without forgetting Peace Walker in the process. There are most probably economical reasons for this, since the game can be pruchased on PS Store in its PSP version, and it's a shame, but you still get a lot of content from the two games available. MGS 2 comes with the extra Missions (VR and alternative) and the Snake Tales, while MGS 3 feature the old MSX2 episodes (Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake).
A few words on the quality of the port before you watch our high quality videos. Graphically, the two games are very faithful to the original versions, with great attention to detail, few aliasing issues and nice character models. The HD label enhances the overall look of the game, and although shadows are not as sharp as they are on 360 or PS3, MGS 2 and 3 both look good on the 5 inch screen of the Vita. Framerate is also very smooth most of the time, and from what we can tell, it runs at 60 frames per second in almost all circumstances. Sure, both titles clearly don't look as impressive as recent games like Golden Abyss, but the visuals are nice enough for a handheld device if you ask me.

Plus, he said "any original games" i only needed one to make his point invalid....job done :D
Or do you consider the DS/3DS releases of zelda games and mario games etc unoriginal too? Seeing as the completely different yet related home console versions are far better? Be stupid logic? But i'm throwing it out there...just curious?
Maybe I'll convert a movie or something tonight into native 960x544 and see if I can excite myself over the display or something. Surely someday some impressive games will start rolling out.
Me and my "bro" are not the only ones not playing the Vita even if they have it, just look at the majority of people on forums and journalists aswell. everyone expected unique Vita games at E3 but where were they?

It's shocking to see how many people brush aside a game and assume just because it's a handheld game, it can't compete against the big boys.
Sound Shapes
Lumines: Electronic Symphony
Escape Plan
Rayman Origins
Uncharted Golsen Abyss
Wipeout (yay)
Mortal Kombat
LittleBigPlanet
LittleBigPlanet Racing
Resistance: Burning Skies
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
PS1 Classics
And whilst granted many of those titles aren't completely stocked with originality they still act as great filler for what is a very content rich games library.
TBH the Vita doesn't lack games it lacks that inimitable experience. People say games sell units but the 360 and even the Wii proves that isn't (REALLY) so.
What each did was show how the console could offer an unfounded experience; 360 with online and Wii with its waggle, Sony need something similar and it may take a game or marketing to show what it is.
Personally I like the idea of the evening settling and not having the appetite for a session of gaming on my consoles, so i play the Vita as its less imposing since playing for 20mins is a possibility because it takes little to no effort to position oneself and flip the switch to begin.
Where the Vita really comes into its own is when you play these console games in the palm of your hand online with friends, whilst chatting and doing all that social stuff, if Sony pushes this then I can see alot of people warming to the idea of the Vita.
.
and as i said, i didnt want to "do a corellianrogue". list a bunch of games that wouldnt change anyones mind about the system when they clearly have no interest in it (like corellianrogue does in regards to the kinect, even though everyone has been vocal about how much they hate it), despite what they say. you obviously dont have a problem doing so tho...so *slow clap*

I will say though that I liked Resistance on the Vita much more than I ever have any of the shit PS3 versions. All of them are shit in my opinion, gameplay wise and visually. I hope they bring a second one to the vita though and improve upon it.
