With $3,845,170 on Kickstarter, Mighty No. 9 is a huge letdown, even though, to be perfectly honest, we could really see it coming. First and foremost, the game looks ugly, both graphically and artistically, and to make it worse, it cannot even hold a steady framerate whether on consoles or PC. The dash and absorption mechanics are interesting but the level design is so poor it does not even take advantage of the game's good ideas. Unless you are the forgiving kind and you like a good challenge, we cannot really recommend the game to you.

Commented on 2016-06-25 17:16:02That said, a $4m Kickstarter for such a generic game is appalling at best. But to be honest, I'm not even sure that what they were promising was worth $4m either.

For me personally, I'd rather they make this game in 8bit style, I think that'll be better than what it is now.
