Outriders has been plagued with connectivity issues ever since it launched and it's a real shame because despite some flaws, it's really a fun game to play, even on one's own. We really enjoy building our character, modding our armor and weapons and choosing our skills so that it all fits our playstyle, there is a real sense of progression in that regard. Gunplay is also very satisfying and if it were not for the issues we sometimes encounter with the cover system and the fact that we're not too fond of the rolling movement, we wouldn't have anything to complain about when it comes to the gameplay mechanics. The story and game world may not be particularly original, but it's enough to keep us going despite the lackluster cutscenes and the dated character faces. That being said, there really is no excuse for the online problems the game has been having, especially for those who wish to play on their own. Something Game Pass owners might be able to accept for now, but that all those who purchased their own copy on day one understandably find it very difficult to accept. Let's hope the first big patch announced for next week will finally allow everyone to play normally.
