Ridge Racer Unbounded may not be a true Ridge Racer game per se but its family ties with such great titles as Burnout, Split/Second and Trackmania makes it a very good arcade racer. Much like Shift when it was first released, Unbounded probably could do without the famous name that has been assigned to it, but it will probably be the case sooner or later. For now, this new vision of the series is one we like even more than the old one, mind you. That being said, you should be warned that Bugbear's title sometimes is frustratingly difficult, at least in Domination races. That being said, it is also interestingly challenging, which is of course a good thing. Check out all our videos to see what we mean.
Note: The "Boulet Time" video is actually a track we created with the editor included in Unbounded, a very nice addition.
Update :Added videos from PC version.

Oh yeah, Riiiiiiiidge Racerrrr.
The only problem here is that it's impossible to understand for English-speaking people. ^^
I wish they would made a Burnout like the 2. or Revenge. Speed, Speed and Speed and not that damn open world fuck. :) what are you say?
Well let me start smoking this cigar here.. oh hey let me throw it at you, hope you catch.... ooppps you burst into flames... burn baby burn and never come back.
obviously arcade racers like mario kart will keep the same formula becasue they are popular however other arcade racers that also keep the same formula have become boring slug fests that most will never try to completeaka ridge racer, it might have been better on the ps1 but since the ps2 people wanting or rushing out to get the latest ridge racer has significantly declined and as a result this is why namco has moved in this direction, like it or not you are a minority of people who dont like the new ridge racer vs the hords of new fans that like the new ridge racer, just accept its here and move on.

..But somehow you decided to take this completely OUT OF CONTEXT and assume that I prefer the old Ridge Racer better?
I was only expressing my thoughts that this game should have a different title but it does not mean that I don't like this new game - but you decided to place me on this "minority" crowd (LOL AGAIN).
Personally I don't give a shit about any old school Ridge Racer game cause I never bought them. Ridge Racer was an arcade game and back in the day I was one of those that instead of PSX I was down in the Arcades spending a fortune of COINS in Namco's Ridge Racer original arcade wheel. That is why I said that only outrun was a great comeback cause they manage to make it interesting instead of the stale RR6 on 360 and RR7 on PS3.
So to summarise we both saying that old Ridge Racer is no good anymore - and we're both saying that this game looks nothing like the old ones - so just because I spoke about the title you are now telling me to move on?
...instead why don't you read my post a bit more thorough next time.

Back in the day I was a pretty big defensive fanboy though, and would have kicked that machine over, laughing, while strutting over to play some Daytona.
