Spintires is a game in which you must explore entire maps with the sole use of your map and compass. The main goal is to deliver lumber using old Russian trucks, which must be done carefully as you can damage your vehicle or even run out of gas. Being all-terrain, the trucks will require some getting used to as terrain is completely deformable and getting stuck is pretty common. Check out our videos inside.
A few details:
Spintires is a pretty challenging game and to complete the 5 available maps, you will need to be patient. Playing co-op, it can take up to 2 hours to complete one map, so if your on your own, it will most probably take you more than 5 hours per map.
Lumber delivery is one aspect of the game, but exploration is another one as black areas of your map will ask you to get to the center of them to unlock them. One these areas are freed, new vehicles appear and can be unlocked once you get close to them. Sometimes, you can start with a truck that can't load and carry wood, which means you must find one that can on the map.
Mechanical damages and fuel consumption are also part of the package deal, so you'll have to drive even more carefully, especially if there are no garages around or your vehicle doesn't have any repair kit. Gas stations are scattered around the maps but if you run out of gas when there is none around, then you'll have to start over from one of the garages.
Vehicles can be upgraded to carry lumber, repair kits and even gas cans, but they can also be modified to have more off-road maneuverability. When playing co-op (to up to 4 players), the best thing to do is to make sure everyone has a different type of truck so they can help each other when necessary.
Good driving skills are necessary to make it in Spintires as it's easy to get stuck in the mud. Thankfully, should there be a tree nearby or even other vehicles, you can winch your way out of it. Last but not least, locking or unlocking differential is obviously of paramount importance to pass certain areas.

I can just imagine a next gen(to me) game like motorstorm with these gorgeous, deform-able, open world environments, combined with the vehicle damage physics of something like Beam NG or Next Car Game. Dammit, why is no one working on this?!?!?! Ahh, someone Kickstart that right now and I'll give you $500!
