Although we have only been able to play The Pillars of the Earth for about an hour, we have really been immersed in the Middle-Ages imagined by Ken Follet. The game looks very good and is particularly atmospheric, with solid voice acting and quite a dramatic tone right from the start. You can really feel the despair people must have felt at the time and provided the rest of the adventure manages to be as convincing as the beginning, it should be a very solid title. Just don't expect it to be fast paced.
