A year or so after its PC release, This War of Mine is back on Xbox One and Playstation 4 with a little twist: more content that you won't find on PC players for the moment. This War of Mine: The Little Ones features 9 new locations and a new type of survivors since children are now part of the equation. Despite the fact that they cannot die, they make the game more difficult in that they are a lot more fragile than adults, both physically and mentally. This videos you'll find inside focus on the original game so you can see how it works with a controller. It's not perfect by any means, as sometimes your character can start climbing down/up the stairs when you don't want him/her to, but it's manageable. The videos are all from the Xbox One box version of the game.

Only people who either never saw how much someone with cancer suffers or who are too ignorant to think and care about what a person with cancer or a relative/friend of such a person will feel when they read something like that would write it.
I know some people will say this is the internet and that other people should just chill. But when people have thousands of adjectives in the English language to choose from, that better suit whatever they wish to express than the word "cancer" and all the meanings/baggage it carries with it, yet people still use it, to me that's just taking ignorance to the extreme.
Below are some alternatives that carry a similar tone, if not the same, without actually being offensive to people with cancer or that have relatives/friends with cancer. And I'm sure more creative people can produce phrases much better than those:
Exclusivity is malignant thing in the gaming industry.
Exclusivity is such a bad practice that makes me sick to my stomach.
One can also substitute "cancer" with any other type of prejudice (racism, sexism, etc) that is born from extreme ignorance. Putting some examples below to the idiotic people that think "it's the internet, who cares" or "you know what he meant is not serious":
Exclusivity is like the French, neither are good.
Exclusivity is like a woman, only serve for one thing.
Exclusivity is like black people, they only cause trouble.
Sorry if any of the above examples offended anyone, they're definitely not what I feel or believe, just used some very offensive examples to demonstrate/illustraste how using ignorant statements can - and most likely will - offend some people. Which as long as the person is not a complete a-hole, he or she should use better phrases.
Also, I'm very aware of the French example in a French site, again, just putting fort some examples to explain how it's not okay to use such expressions for stupid things like these, spceally considering it's just a small DLC/expansion of an indie game.
IF people actually care about other people, they should choose their words better, otherwise they're just a-holes who don't care about anyone, which is exactly what makes them a-holes in the first place.
You say "People shouldn't use these words, because it's offensive for some people." and then almost immediately use offensive expressions against them.
Btw, I'd love to see kids in the PC version. They even have a War Child DLC on steam version, why not this? I hope they add them in the future.
I apologized immediately after giving those examples exactly because they are really offensive phrases. Perhaps, I just shouldn't have given those examples at ll in the first place, but my intention was to eliminate replies saying "it's the internet, who cares" or "you know what he meant is not serious" from people that I always read in cases like this whenever someone criticizes/complains about it.
Also, this idea about those examples and how if you change a word in an expression/phrase that most people accept as "okay" or "normal" - hence why they think you're making "a storm in a cup of water", but still keep a certain tonality/similarity it then becomes not acceptable by those same people, came to me after remembering a few debates and articles I read about Walt Disney's Song of the South movie a few weeks ago.
Though this is off-topic, one of the most present arguments about the movie not being racist is the fact that it depicts a presumed "slave", Uncle Remus, as being "happy" and that if the movie was racist, Uncle Remus' character wouldn't be "happy", as if saying it depicts a happy slave, therefore it isn't racist.
Without wanting this to take too long - there are other things to take into consideration about the movie and whether it's racist or not which I won't go into now - suffice it to say that if someone were to change the slave/racist tone of the movie for something else, like a rape (a rape victim being happy), terrorism (a terrorist victim being happy), etc people would NOT be okay with it. But since it's about racism, it's okay.
The best example of this is in the excellent movie A Time to Kill (1996), which without going into spoilers, where even though the jury knew what was done to the accused's daughter, it wouldn't really have mattered to the accused's sentence since the accused was in fact guilty of the crime he was being accused of, but when the accused's lawyer changed a single word, it then made all the difference, as that hit where it most hurt the jury and made them painfully aware of what the accused had been gone through and what led him to commit the crime he was being accused of.
So that was my mindset going into those examples, how most people believe something is "fine" - when it truly isn't, but as soon as you change a word/a detail it suddenly becomes "not fine". This is something I have thought about a lot, how much an opinion differs depending on certain perspectives. Something I see a lot in gaming debates, how depending on which company/game's side someone is, the same practice/standard is perceived differently - double standards.
PS. It's really hard to convey complex thoughts and ideas in text, at least for me, since I'm no writter. I hope you and anyone else can understand my mindset.
Popularity: Bottom 50% of words
: a serious disease caused by cells that are not normal and that can spread to one or many parts of the body
: something bad or dangerous that causes other bad things to happen
Cancer : the fourth sign of the zodiac that comes between Gemini and Leo and has a crab as its symbol
Technically it is okay for him to use cancer in that way. Someone shouldn't be forced to not use a word because it might be offensive to some one else, but they should also understand that their words could be offensive to some people or that their words have consequences.
