Someday You'll Return disappointed us a few weeks back and sadly Those Who Remain is not going to do any better. Developed by Camel 101, the game is not a looker, but its smart use of lighting effects makes it quite atmospheric at times. The problem is it's not enough to make up for the sluggish controls, the dated visuals and some of the game design choices. Performance is also very weird as the game never feels smooth despite what the FPS counters seems to indicate. We wish we could tell you its story is engaging enough but it simply didn't work for us. Gameplay wise it feels very awkward to walk around and to interact with the environment and the button prompts do not always indicate the good button you need to press (for example, game tells you you must press LT to run when it is indeed LB). Check out the first 20 minutes of the adventure and let us know what you think. We'd be curious to hear your opinion on the different key locations. We lost so much time looking for 2 of them as the place where they could be found made no sense whatsoever from our perspective. It partly explains why we felt so frustrated when playing the game.
