GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Last year, we actually enjoyed WRC 5 on PC despite its many flaws. Parisian studio Kylotonn, now called KT Racing, had done a decent job after Milestone, showing great promises for the next episode. After playing WRC 6 for a while, both with a wheel and a gamepad, we can say the game has improved in every department. It is still a subtle mix between simulation and arcade, it is more accessible than DiRT Rally, but it does not mean that its driving model is not realistically coherent or too easy. Stages need to be learned, the copilot's indications can be particularly detailed if you activate the corresponding setting in the option menu, and it is just a lot of fun to drive. Now of course, the game's graphics aren't impressive at all, but they are convincing enough to let us enjoy the narrow roads of the rally championship.

Note: Our impressions are based on the PC version of the game. We have not seen the console versions yet.

Thank You for videos. That lag is due to the video capture or the game goes laggy sometimes?

I love helicopter replays. Have done since the first WRC on PS2. This looks pretty good.

I'm a big fan of authentic-looking environments in these kinds of racing games (landscape and vegetation), and this game is really sloppy with that. Even a big step backwards compared to the WRC games by Milestone. The texturing on rocks looks absolutely random, the geometry and the textures have no relation to each other. Simple real life things like dust or sand collecting in nieches, no dust on steep walls for example.

Thanks. I remember it from the demo, but it was still managable. BTW I think the graphics are ok. It's still nice and replays look great. I need to try The Dirt Rally.
